Welcome back The7, Question: what is your opinion of running this system on 4hour charts... or even one hour charts for that matter? Many thanks, Tim.

Yes... only input your entry and stop loss and percentage you wish to risk. The value of this calculator forces you to think i percentage of equity at risk, rather than pips at risk. Percentage thinking makes for far better money management. Obvious ...

What a shame that Maverick X cannot see his way to sharing his powerful and secret "edge." Maverick, try to see this in perspective. In a four-trillion-dollar-per-day market, your "edge" would not represent a blip on blip on the back of a pipette. ...

Hi Silat, Could you kindly direct me to the results page for the sevens system. It seems to be lost on the forum. Many thanks, Tim.

Hi Basper and any other experienced system users. Please could you check my logic for Friday's trade? Many thanks. Tim.

Hi Basper, I would like to know how you deal with trading the system in the face of news announcements. How do you deal with widening spreads? Which news announcements do you take particular note of (if any)? Do you strictly not trade after the end ...

Here is my little contribution to this wonderful thread: Copy/Paste the attached Position Size indicator into your MT4 Indicators file. Open MT4... enter the parameters for (a) your entry and (b) your stop loss and (c) the percentage you are willing ...

Hi Basper, Thanks for your explanation. So after the 4 stop losses, we re-enter long and ride all the way to TP2? I understand the losses, but I am still struggling to see how you get 4TP1 and 2TP2 for the day. From what I understand, after the ...

Hi there, Could my reasoning be confirmed here. This is how I understand the system. Today, a bad day for trades. Entry that immediately went to Stop Loss. We renter for a sell on the SL line and, bang, it stops out again. No other entries for the ...

How is the system going? — ________ To imagine that a few forum players are going to affect the slightest move in a 4 trillion dollar per day market is delusional to say the least. Whilst I applaud the notion of little or no risk for maximum ...

I think... — ______ I think you broke Tony's rules. See post 1. ps: Tony, could you elucidate on the math of your system assuming we have one 400 pip win in a year?
- hazel1919 replied Oct 23, 2012
Thank you... — _______ Thank for what amounts to arguably one of the more clear-headed and rational posts we have seen for quite a while. What the system amounts to is: two necessary wins per year for your account to double. That averages at ...

Tony — Hi Tony, I would love to hear your take on the figures from your post 7023. I did the math in post 7048, and it really looks grim.

Tony — ______ For all the recent smart comments, both optimistic and pessimistic, we (the forum audience) have not heard your response in regard to the calculations based on the figures you yourself presented to us in post 7023. When I punch ...

Do what the calculator says.... — No this is quite interesting. Assume an opening balance at the beginning of the month of 10 000 You take six trades a day (132 trades). Assume half of them are break-even and the other half lose 7% per trade. ...

Kicking the (empty) can... — _____ Timmy. Thank you for the correction, and comments. I am thinking that choosing a more optimal entry point might yield better results. Identifying new high's and Lows on the hour chart immediately come to ...

To the contrary, Timmy, your calculation is incorrect. The pip value will be $17.50. Remember, your TOTAL risk per trade is spread over TWO pips. So the value of 1 pip is $17.50. A +400 pip win thus has a value of $7000. My original calculation ...
