This kind of insider trading is clearly wrong. But if the client had left buy stop orders (and spread his orders thru several banks instead of just one), his open requirement for pounds wouldn't have been too needlessly open for very long.

If this had been a complex non-vanilla FX option and my trader forgot to hedge his bet along the way to bury his open greeks (or at the very least, COVERED his position), he would've felt my boot up his ass. And that wouldn't be the worse thing.
