try PT Multistation! it is able to connect to MT server... there are a lot of notification tools (alerts, table alerts, visual advisor) and it is possible to set up various notification actions (and also audio and email). good luck!

i think you dont have to worry about those things. in case if mt5 wount live up to traders expectations, they will change brokers to brokers with platform (like ProTrader) which supports all MT's features and mql languages... BUT of course brokers ...
