A guy I used to speak to that traded forex called it the mid-week reversal. He said on a typical Wednesday price would consolidate and/or reverse. Sometimes just a pullback in the larger trend, other times a turning point for the larger trend. I ...

I was making that point too. You miss the small pullback setups with the fast moving volume bars sometimes. In other words, smoother is not always better, bc you might miss a perfect small risk entry to jump in at.

Funny thing is, a lot of people prefer tick/volume charts over time-based charts because it “smooths” out of the price action. As seen in your example though, you would have missed that 123.

hey divergence, On NQ you start with a 12 tick stop loss. When you’re up 6 ticks auto stop goes to +1, when you’re up 15 auto stop goes to +10, then final target is +25. Is this correct? Do you use the same numbers on YM? I seem to get stopped out ...

this is much easier said than done, after the fact. Take a look at the price action I've noted for your 3rd trade. Again, easier to see and explain in hindsight, but something to think about for the future... The trend had changed. You had just ...

Took a small loss right off the bat trying to short YM, then took a couple scalps short and am back up net 18 points. I said last week I thought ES was headed to 2900. I still think we're heading higher. The "experts" say we're supposed to crash now ...

C What is your take on something like this? I see this as just a pullback in an uptrend on the 4hr chart. Reason being, is that there doesn't seem to be a defined supply level that caused price to reverse. So I think we will continue heading up. Of ...

lol there will still be losses. And when there is, most people will scrap the method and move on to looking for the next holy grail that never loses.

Another thing, what you refer to as the thrust bar, is very important. That's a good chart you posted because there are a few different 123 and 2b on there. At the tops and bottoms of the swings. The trend and the direction of the thrust bars keep ...

But then there's also a 2b (in yellow) within that 123 I annotated, that happened first.... image

and just to show you the difference, with the same chart, I marked the 123 right next to the 2b Divergence annotated. image

Any of you guys trading the ES? I haven't looked at it in a year. The YM and NQ move great. Looking at the ES chart though, we are at a pop or drop level and I see us popping and going up a lot more tomorrow and possibly Friday towards 2900. We may ...
