I'm back. The house is built, we close on the 27th. The week after, I will be super busy, but I'm back in the game. I now have several hours a week to devote to this. I'm currently catching up on all the new developments and running my demos again.

Im sure I could figure it out but honestly, I'm currently swamped with my move. That REALLY sucks that ECN does that. This means that other EA's will also have issues with them as well. I really wonder why they are being stupid like that. If you ...

Yup. There are also several lines that have been commented out that should just be removed and other things that should be reorganized and cleaned up. I still have one heck of a honey do list around the house. I'm only just now going back through ...

Yeah, that shouldn't be too hard to program. Speaking of, I've been meaning to re-write the code on this thing. As you can see, I've been out of the market for over a month. We are closing on our new home that we had built at the end of February and ...

No, not really. I'm sitting things out until my new house is finished (end of February). Why? Market is a bit rough, and I don't have time to watch things as I finish fixing up our current home and manage the new place. Look for me to actually come ...

Well, I'm back from vacation (mostly) and I think I can conclusively say that its a bad idea to let this EA run day and night and over the weekend with an account of $200. Im now down to about $1.50 as I figured I would be after 2 weeks of hands off ...

This thread is a bit dated and all work for the weighted escalator is now going into the AWE system / Bastard EA. I'll try to link it later, just getting back from vacation...
- FrostCall replied Dec 14, 2008
Closing this thread because I no longer use the strict 100/40. I will eventually make a thread for the Bastard, but Im just now getting home from a looong vacation so it will take some time.

Yeah, that's pretty bad. I'm running MT4 in a virtual computer using VMWare on an iMac and I can easily run much more than that. Remember, a new computer is an investment!

It's just too bad that Windows can't promise that...

I may run things at just a tad bit higher than a 150 spread. I'll be here until Wed, playing with things to see how they go.

I may monitor my progress and use VNC to login from the cruise, but I honestly would rather just fire and forget. I don't want to be worrying about it the entire time I'm trying to relax in the Caribbean. I really have no problem loosing all of that ...

I'll be going on Vacation myself in a few days. I'm contemplating leaving the system running (weekends and all!) while I'm gone for two weeks, not checking it or anything. I mean heck, It's only a few hundred bucks and I'm spending much more than ...

OK, so with the standard settings: max profit is: 16.8 Max floating DD: 106.4 StopLoss DD: 240.8 x4 (as in, running this on 4 pairs) = profit: 67.2 Floating DD: 425.6 Stoploss DD: 963.2 Now, if you change just the lot size to 0.2, you get: Max ...

If you are using the 100x40 on a $100 account, then you are asking to be raped. I would use nothing higher than the 35x15 or the 50x20 with 0.01 lot sizes, trading only the AUDNZD or the EURGBP with $100. Even then, you can't cover the spread. Very ...

Less like gambling and more like being the house. The numbers are in your favor. However, as it has been stated before, you really need to make sure that your account is large enough to handle your losses. You also should never invest more money ...

The 'Total' is the Maximum profit that can be expected if the EA reaches the maximum number of lots, then retraces and hits a take profit. Once you have hit the maximum number of lots, the next move is either to retrace and hit the Take Profit, or ...

Me too. I'm a really big fan of open source, so I make all of my stuff that way. No reason we can't all make money. This is why I have a big distrust of folks who want to charge you to 'learn their secret'. If they are really making great money, ...

Bob, I know how you feel. After my drop on Monday, I was down to about $70. In 3 days, I went back up to $250. Imagine if I would have waited a few days (until the Dec contest) and done the same in 1 week then stopped trading for the rest of the ...

I tried to use functions that all versions of Excel, Numbers, OpenOffice, etc... could use. However, things do work slightly differently on different software. Honestly, the ratio thing is not that big of a deal so you're not missing much. It just ...
