stupidly enough, the issue was the mismatch between my Windows clock time zone and time zone of FxTrade. They were accidentally on two different time zones - my bad. Once synchronized, FxTrade started to work normally. Now the question is: for how ...

hello all, I have been using FxTrade desktop since 2003 (those were the days...), have an issue with the latest version (download from my Oanda hub account webpage) that the candles are not scrolling to the left automatically. Basically they will go ...

I second that... If they were so bad, why would many clients stay with them since 2004, 2005, etc.? I am one of them. For all who read this thread - if you are selecting new broker, listen to the old timers, perform your diligence objectively and ...

I would not say EBS Prime is not good enough, it is still the most liquid ECN (I would think), especially if tapping into deep pool of many solid counterparties. I am just not familiar with it first hand, but there must be a reason why EBS is the ...

Thank you for your feedback. I do not mind paying access fees for EBS or any other liquidity pool that reduces my overall costs. I perform ton of statistics all the time and seamingly small differences make a big difference at the end of the trading ...

Every 12-18 months, I tend to research what is out there as my next step. In early 2010 I contacted ...

There is absolutely no issue with liquidity, 2mio size, or 10mio get filled instantly and in one price. Liquidity is one of the reasons why I like Oanda. As for the filling of 5000 lots, which would be 500mio (half a yard!), no, you would not be ...

Generally speaking, reliable brokers WILL widen spread during the news. They have a reason... your strategy is quite profitable meaning someone will be consistently on the expensing side. No bank or ECN will fill you during news right where your ...

I am not with Dukascopy but gave them a big evaluation and traded someone else's account. They are not all that bad and liquidity went down across the FX board, or rather, they way liquidity is served. Most brokers are attracted to having internal ...

To sum up this thread, if someone wants "institutional" broker, I would be under the impression that it has to be in well regulated jurisdiction, and the broker should have solid history and reputation. You can find 100:1 with smaller account but ...

This is not your normal spread situation at CFH. I am with that broker and I can assure you that 98% of the time EUR/USD is 0.8p, USDJPY 0.8p, GBPUSD 1.3 or 1.4p and their book is well supplied.

By getting riskless principal STP you are getting directly to the interbank market. But there is one thing to rememeber - your STP large trades still must have a counterparty, in this case it is going to be a bank (well technically still your ...

I erased George from my mobile contacts list, but like I said before... Marex, Baxter, CFH, Man Financials, MilanFX, LCG, ICAP's EBS, Reuters ... none of those cater to nano or micro lots. But I can imagine Soros's people deal directly with a bank ...

As Bleek also noted, having one liquidity provider (LP, i.e. a bank) is typically not in your interest. DMA could be done via one of the STP providers, like Marex, Man, CFH, Baxter... or well supplied Currenex provider such as LCG. Black pools of ...

I never tried, but I investigated and they will not talk to you with 0.5M equity... few mil, maybe. Next, it may not be in your interest to have one liquidity provider only... their dealing desk will see your trades, i.e. you will not be anonymous, ...

Thanks for the reply. I should have asked - your 50 contracts, do all 50 get filled on the same price if you place a market order? Say you want to buy market EURUSD right now, I see spot bid at 1.41337 ... so when you place market request to fill 50 ...

He stated up in the beginning the size he clears, i.e. 5-6mio. As for Alpari Direct Pro Currenex, who is providing the liquidity? Currenex is only as good as the extra liquidity provided by the white label partner (Alpari in this case). Basic CNX ...

I tend to think that MM world has evolved quite a lot and buckets can be managed in various ways. While MM's like to keep their buckets balanced, it does not necessarily mean they will go after your stops or quote you wrong prices just to push you ...

I would not worry about ECN or STP requirement whatsoever unless one has 20k-50k to trade with. Based on personal experience and experience of many others who have been in this business for a while, ECN or MM willl not make a difference in the ...

That is good, I much rather prefer demo issues or problems on my own side then issues with the live platform. So does the live platform goes down much? If so, how often, for how long, etc.?
