This strategy just doesn't offer many trades, but when the rules are followed they can be good ones. I have taken the below trade on the Daily as it seems to follow the rules except for the TF. It is against the 100 & 200 EMAs, but a trend change ...

[quote=diamonddbw;8425164]Hey 5. Looks as though this method can be traded. Thanks. I've been working with this today and have been applying your method, as is, with one exception; I take my entries on M15 after close of H4 bar. Entry uses same ...

C.36 - A poor trade, it doesn't follow the rules. Even as a 3-inside-down trade it doesn't work because the 3 down candles are getting smaller. I tested two 4 candle setups with better candles than what you have posted and neither was worth the ...

A coder could write a script or EA that would: 1. Once price was 15 pips away from the 20ema, Take Profit would move to the far BB (beyond the ema), and then 2. A Trailing Stop of say 15 or 20 or 25 pips (whatever the trader would choose) would be ...

Sun., late afternoon - I'm not seeing any candidates for the 11 pairs that I follow. Probably a quiet week ahead for me. p.

Just remember the 5-9 candle rule. I don't know how that applies to a D. setup but very necessary for W. Good luck to you. p.

aud/usd hit TP, +164 pips; usd/cad hit TP-1, +195 pips and SL now at BE+5. Total for 2 trades is +359 p. with 5 still open. I can't say enough about how good this strategy is. p.

Thur., 5/28,7:23 am. All trades in profit, 909.0 (rounded) plus pips. Beginner's luck, maybe, but a pretty simple visual method for spotting trend reversals.

I'm trading Tinny's strat. as in post #1.What struck me was the logic for an illogical market. After 5-9 candles in one direction, a closed EB in the opposite direction means a change in trend. Pretty simple.

I am approx. 765 plus pips for all of the trades in post #38 and nothing in neg. territory. I will be adjusting SLs for protection. Great way to trade. p.

I use Oanda's FXTrade platform and can set my daily rollover for 4pm/cdt. I see EBs on eur/usd, gbp/usd, aud/usd & usd/cad. I have stop orders place on all four. piprac

The eur/usd D. looks good too, BEOB followed by a BEPB but I would wait for a clearnig below the intermediate S. level at 1.11221. But I'm off for a 5 day vacation so no trades for a week. Good trading all, p.

Only scalpers love side ranging markets, trading the up and down action of the sideways channel. Learn to recognize a sideways market and then move on to another. Or you can mark the top and bottom range with vertical trend lines and wait for a ...

Hey Phantom - how have your entries panned out? Does volume compensate for tight SL & TP? I am using the D. to confirm the W. trend but 3 stop orders last night never got triggered so I am not in the market right now, perhaps at the 16:00 rollover ...

I think mm has the best idea. Using regular candlesticks on the D. for picking swing highs and lows, support and resistance, all TP & SL areas, makes a lot of sense. My usd/cad win almost recovered all of the four losses (within one dollar) using ...

marshallmax - question: the 3d picture doesn't seem to reflect the 1st two. Is it a different TF than W. or D., maybe 4H? I like idea of confirmation. edit: I looked at it on a different screen, seems to be the monthly
