Yep, there's buying on that candle, hence the volume and the subsequent bullish action. There can't be any sense of one candle cancelling the other though, they are at different phases in the move, at different trading times and the bars are ...

What's your purpose for trading? Is your purpose to be right? To make 98% of your trades winning trades? To become a worldwide authority on one, especially complex way of trading? I'm sure you're a great trader and are entirely welcome to share your ...

Oh. Seems a bit weird but whatever floats your boat I guess!

Rubbish trolling. There is volume in Forex, it's quite undeniable really. There is an indicator on every platform that tells you the volume of ticks each candle experienced. That is volume, a volume of ticks. So yes, there certainly is volume in FX.

If you can mate, you're a better trader than I!

I never have one in mind, not one that is in any way pre defined. I believe they work against you in the long term. Entries and trade management are key for me. Get an entry that delivers some pips and then manage the entry so it delivers as many ...

UK unemployment fell but not as sharply as previous qrts. Shouldn't prevent a move north but I don't really guess fundie direction.

Yes, it is starting to look that way on cable but news could thrown it out of kilter. I'll look for an entry in 15/30 minutes.

Very nice use of VSA icantmilk and much more in line with how i've been using it than with Malcolm. Malcolm's trades were much more based around reversals and holding out for large pip gains. This is more about taking what the market is ready to ...

Jeez, Trotty turns up and starts a fight within minutes!! It's all about opinion fellas. I have spent enough time looking at spot volume and the core principals of VSA to know that there is cionsistency and reliability in there. that doesn't mean ...

Thanks again mate. Interesting stuff and my feed was subtly different again. I wouldn't have got a NS entry on the first one as mine was flat on that candle against the previous 3. On the second entry, my chart was almost exactly like your futures ...

I can see it mate, without a doubt. I more wondering about the why and how. What is it about the data fed into futures that makes it more accurate? I don't expect you to have the answer to that by the way, just thinking out loud here
- Trotty replied Dec 16, 2014
I can see some difference for sure, thanks. Just wondering what makes futures more reliable over spot?

Hi Teb. I wasn't denegrating tick volume at all. I agree, when you consider what it represents, it's hugely significant and if you're trading without it, you're tying one hand behind your back. Hence why I am now finally, fully embracing it. It's ...

Cheers icantmilk, I promise not to get angry! That was exactly the response I was looking to get - an honest one. Forex futures will still be tick volume though so what is creating the difference in data quality?

Seems an interesting point to join this thread. I've been trading price action for years, primarily using select moving averages as S+R zones. I've noticed some talk of this on the previous page. I "cut my teeth" on the Trade What you See thread in ...

Morning. I figured it would probably have been in reaction to the changing market conditions. Nobody really know when FX will return to "normal" but it will happen eventually and it'll be long overdue. As always, taking setups that make sense is ...

Well that's certainly the truth mate. I think it's partially why it takes so damn long to get consistency. It isn't just about the actual learning of the myriad skills involved, it's finding the approach for you. It's hard to imagine that there are ...

Hello mate, hope you're well. Very cryptic that, what did you mean? Have you tinkered with things due to the low volatility? M1 is brave!

Turtle, albchr - how are you both? Good to see there are still a few people paying attention to it. All good here thanks. It's summer time and we're having a proper one in the UK this year but not quite taken to trading from the garden just yet ...
