A hedge is the same as using a stoploss and then placing a order in the opposite way with the same size, so how does stoplosses not work and hedge work?

i agree that the markets are a sine wave, most of the time. and what i said is that you're supposed to be short when its extended upwards and should go back to the equlibrium, and vice versa for long.
