No, Symbol() is the chart that the code is running on . . . if you want to know if "minimum stop level is 0 for all symbols on Alpari UK " then you need to run your code on each symbol one at a time and find out.

Have you looked at the trading functions within mql5 ? do you understand about Orders, Deals and Positions ? MT5 is very, very different when it comes to trading and trade management. Even Indicators are different, the bars are counted in reverse ...

Exactly . . . and in a few months time most people will have their Indicators and EAs working on their MT4.5 platforms . . . the step from MT4.5 to MT5 is less than the step from MT4 to MT5

Give up on MT5 ? no chance . . . MT4.5 is simply a stepping stone to help get you onto MT5

At compile time or run time ? you don't need to recompile if you don't have to, you can use your 509 built .ex4s in build 600, most will work.

It's not MT5 it's the "new" MT4 .hst format, it is very, very different to MT5.

In my opinion that isn't the reason . . . I think this is being done as a means to getting Users to move to MT5, by way of MT4.5 as a stepping stone . . .

They should overwrite it if it's bad data received by the terminal. If it's bad data that they have and sent then if you correct it they will overwrite it . . . . and will usually correct it in due course.

Don't recompile unless you need to . . . just run the .ex4 compiled with the 509 MetaEditor.

I think most Brokers will roll out on the 3rd Feb . . . will most do any of their own testing ? I doubt it.
