@BlueSky99 Could you please share your backtest results? Would the results be different by limiting the trades to the "kill zone" time frame (NY-London overlap)? Thanks!

ES (SP500 Futures) AM session: 3 winners (including two overlapping ones). The first two winners' TP was activated by a news ("US Services PMI") related spike (confirmed by a 10-second chart review). @MachineLearn What's your take on overlapping ...

DAX Futures (Frankfurt first 4 hours): 4 winners/1 loser. (The last winner took some time to close.) With the RSI filter, there would have been 3 fast, "clear-cut" winners.

@MachineLearn Was their any discretionary sign that would have disqualified the second (loss) EURUSD trade?

GC (Gold Futures) AM session: 4 winners (the last one "by the touch").

I would not have traded this setup on 6E (EURUSD futures) because the volume decreased with the green candle. The difference could be due to the differences in volumes between the EURUSD spot and futures markets and also because Forex brokers cannot ...

I have to admit that I have not observed a statistically significant number of trades. It can be very challenging to manually conduct statistically reliable research, and a hypothesis testing EA would be very useful for testing all the mentioned ...

Observations of the most recent wins and losses on EURUSD: 1. Almost all trades are winners IF the color of the trigger candle (i.e., the one with a higher volume) and the subsequent candles are the same (or a doji closing in the direction of the ...

Thanks for the backtest report! Did you run the test on M1 or M5? With or without RSI (35-65%) filter? (Applying the RSI filter may protect from buying into resistance and selling into strength.)

ES (SP500 Futures) M5 from 9:30AM-12:00PM EST ("kill zone") with RSI filter (35/65%): 1 winner

6E (EUR/USD Futures) M5 from 8AM-4PM EST: 1 winner/3 losers (with R:R 1:1 and RSI filter). Past 3 days: 16 winners/4 losers.

As mentioned above, the RSI filter was introduced by @since0808 and approved by OP. Following the RSI settings of @since0808 (see attached screenshot), I also use the 65% cut-off to filter out overbought conditions and the 35% cut-off to stay on the ...

1. RSI filtering was introduced by @since0808 in Post #80 and approved by OP in Post #86, so I have started using it myself (even though it has not made its way to Post #1). 2. Regarding the ATR filter, it is interesting to observe that the system ...

Although there were 2 false signals between 9:30 and 10:00 EST (i.e. in the first half an hour of NY Open), the strategy has produced 3 winners between 10:00 and 12:00 on ES M1 (e-mini SP500 futures) with R:R 1:1

Duly noted in Post #1: "The system should be traded manually." On the other hand, only EA backtests can give an idea about the impact of these additional filters and the - almost limitless - combination of them. The above two statements don't ...
