The renko box size is 10 regular pips. I already have a script for backtesting using tick data, but I still need to workout a few details and put together a manual for this. The script will be provided free for all users of my renko bar plug-in.

One of the users here asked me to post backtesting vs. live resluts for my renko plug-in. For this purpose I've done a weekly forward test on a small live account using my renko EA and I've also run a backtest on the weeks data to compare the ...

I've run into the same problem myself. This is not an easy task since the chart window constantly rescales to fit the highest and lowest point of the visible chart segment. This way even if we know the pixel resolution of the window and the pip size ...

I couldn't agree with you more It would be great if traders who are willing to post their trades would try to explain why a certain setup has been traded or avoided.

Actually I have written an EA for this strategy, but it does not perform well. I've followed the trading results from Glen and Indrek and compared them against the EA results and they are no where near these achieved by Glen and Indrek. The EA ...

Since I'm new to the system, I have a quick question. There was a good setup on USDYPY if it wasn't for the pivot s/r levels and for the fact that it is outside of trading hours. Lets pretend that the setup occurred within trading hours. image ...

What I do is just put up vertical lines on my charts 30 min before the news event and on the news event every morning. Takes about 1 min and gets my attention for sure so I know when not to trade. Simple but effective.

PIVOTS — Does everyone here pay attention to Daily, Weekly and Monthly pivots and S/R levels? You don't take trades if price is within 10 pips of these levels?

The settings are correct. Try removing the EA from the chart and placing it back. Should help.

I've also noticed that you start trading at 7 GMT. Is this correct?

Just starting out with the trix mtf system. I gave it a go on GBPUSD today and caught a nice 31 pip profit (on the daily pivot). After I took the screen I also noticed that there were 3 opportunities to lock in profit. The first one was at 6:30 (on ...
