I designed it for the euro and the broker I use is OandA, it might be the lotdigits setting, if your broker only allows .1 lot increments it would need to be set to 1 or it would stop trading due to invalid lot size.

If anyone is interested I found a more accurate method of choosing trades with a better w/l ratio. Going back to 2007 it wins more than 60% of the trades using PSAR to choose the trades and a modified martingale that is limited to prevent a death ...

The modified version in post 11 in this thread does seem to be working right. I just ran it with the martingale turned off in visual mode. It opens a single trade and another as soon as TP or SL is hit.

Doesn't look like it would have worked back in the days of 1000:1 margins and hedging in the US, so it's not invincible and could possible fail under the right market conditions. So, USE AT YOUR OWN RISK. However, since 1/2009 ,just before the hedge ...

Here are my backtest results. 51.32% winners over 4 years and 9 months with an overall return of 6.9648 times my initial deposit. Could be much better if I add some kind of automatic increase to the starting lots. Here's the proof. It seems like I ...

Thanks, it works great, and it back tests much faster than the original. Backtest results will be posted soon.

I know Martingale will always lose but this isn't really Martingale, and believe me I'll be the first to post any problems once I get the results, but I can't do that unless the EA is working right. Everyone knows EA trading is risky, especially ...

I know it's a long shot but I think it will work, you're a programmer, get it working right so we could do an accurate backtest and stop arguing over theory, that's all I want.

For some reason this EA is very slow backtesting, and it's not working how it should, but looking at the results I'm sure it could handle as many losses as the market throws at it if it was working right, as for the slow progression, it's for 2 ...

Not this one, I tested it and it survived from 1/2010 to 10/2014 and it's not the everyday Martingale, I just used Martingale code as a template to incorporate my step progression, it won't death spiral, check it out. Here is the code with notes:
- Gambler's Pips EA needs debugging
I used to be a gambler and I used a step progression for betting on roulette(it made lots of money ...

I thing the huge appeal and much of the volume with the NZD/USD may be due to the huge swap, makes for a great carry trade.

It was such a nice ride back up to 87 that I stayed on till 8735, getting back all my losses and a nice profit. I love green pips. I'll be looking for some more after NY open.

Yes, over leveraged trades hurt when they go bad, but they're nice when they go right. I'll take a nice ride up to 87 whenever the market's ready to stop kicking my butt. Good news I still haven't lost all of last month's ...

Haven't taken the 2nd loss yet but it's very close. It's only a bunch of pips, easy come easy go, I knew it would happen sooner or later.
- jaws810 replied Apr 2, 2014
No I haven't been using that system, I was using that on the euro, didn't even think of using it here, ATM I wish I was using it. Be careful though that system depends on big moves to be profitable.

Ouch, I got stopped out on that drop.Oh well, it's just a few pips live and learn. I'll get them back before the end of the month.
- jaws810 replied Apr 1, 2014
Yea, I probably should have waited till NY close. I bought it after it flattened out for over an hour I thought it was getting ready for another bull run. I think I'll be ok, it'll probably go back up enough overnight for me to get my pips.

How's everyone doing, I got a nice start for the month, got my 20 pips this morning before the drop and I just went long again at 8650 looking for another 20 pips tonight.
- jaws810 replied Mar 31, 2014
Aside from me making another 22 pips , what just happened to cause that price spike, it was looking like I'd be waiting till tomorrow morning to get my pips and then BAM a 35 pip spike out of nowhere.
