Why did you build it in C++? Why not in MQL? I remember my hell days with DLLs. With C# out there, I'm glad those are over .

Another one waiting to bite the dust — Why are you wasting you time asking people questions that they can't answer. Demo test the bot on live data for a couple months and see how it works. And then when you're comfertable with it, use proper ...

I don't know. I'm still running my EA. One account is up by 40+% and the other is -1%. Lets see how they end up at the end of this month.

19.72% increase on one account and 7.84% on the other at the end of the month.

My closed profit is $1,955 and my open positive float is $1,090. This is on a 10K account. If I close my open trades my account will be up by 31%. There is still a week left for the month. And I could lose it all. Will write an update at the end of ...

GBPJPY is a scary pair to trade. Plus, as I mentioned earlier, I only trade one pair. And the EA I'm running works best with EURUSD. It might do well with USDCHF, never tried it.

I think you're right except that part where one would make millions in a month . My reason for sharing it to a limit is to try and improve it. But I've decided its not worth it with the risk of it being hijacked. Before I run it on a real account, ...

yes, that's come to my attention. I am thinking of encapsulating my core logic in a .dll file and give it a shot. but I know, a dll can be easily decompiled to. I'll see if there is anything I can do to protect my work.

This tight ranging market on the EURUSD is no good for the bot :-/. Hopefully when the market does decide to move and the bot is smart enough to catch it. It will make a fortune . Keeping my fingers crossed.

Thanks for your interest. Forward testing isn't an issue for me. I have dedicated servers at my disposal to use. And I dont want to optimize the bot either, it's well structured as it is (at least I think so). I got an PM from a member on the forum ...

Need some testers — Ok, this is getting too hectic for me. I need a few independent volunteer testers for this EA. Ideally you should have some experiance with EA back/forward testing and know how to rely on what sort of back tests. Please ...

Simple answer, the EA is not ready to be public nor am I trading it on a live account yet. Reason for posts inthe forum was/is to hopefully stay motivated while working on this. If my posts are causing some offense. I have no issue in stop posting.

Made a few more modifications to the V2 version of the bot, the modifications are significant enough to call it a version 3. The core logic is still the same from V1. Just adding some smart ideas into the bot on where it take profit and where to ...

I've tried all sorts of back tests with the alpari data, and I've been using a variance of this method live profitably for over a year now. Its just been till recent that I decided to try n make an EA out of it. I wasn't aware the EA would turn out ...

Fixed Lot Size Back Results — Here are the results with a fixed lot size of 1.0 for version 1 and version 2 of the bot respectively.
- saaedb replied Aug 11, 2008
The lot size is variable, it's risking 2% if the account at any given time. so if the bot makes profits and the balance is 50K, and it has a string of losses, and the losses accumulate to 30K, your balance drops down to 20k, and no the account ...

Thats an interesting question. I'm not sure if I'll post the EA or not. I was going to post the V1 of the EA after reading your post but I stoped and will ponder over if I want to take this route or not. Posting an EA and then supporting it isn't a ...

Here is why I think I'd never be able to compete with you guys. Most of you trade multiple currency pairs and I just trade one pair EURUSD. If I find the setup I'm looking for, I'll pull the trigger else I'll stay on the side lines. I don't even ...

ok, multi trade EA is up and active. At no point will it risk more then what's allowed. Should be interesting to see how it performs. Back tests are very promising.
