Notch, are you using a different setup than Paulus? If I remember, Paulus is on an M5 chart, with settings 5/15/30.

Notch may have left for the day, but ES is the S&P; ER is the russell; YM is the Dow. Not sure what else he mentioned. Sometimes different platforms will label them slightly differently.

Seriously? At least look through post #1.

I don't know where you can get the free versions, but I've seen them here in FF. And as for the commercial one, I don't want to post a commercial link in this thread, but the author is a well known programmer, Ph.d level I believe. I think if you ...

I'm sorry, I cannot. It's a commercial piece . There's a couple free ones floating around, but I have never tried them. The main trading I do is on higher TFs, but when I want to scalp I always come back to CRBs because there's much less noise. From ...
- BenQ replied Jun 7, 2009
I mentioned constant range bars in a previous post to reduce noise. Attached is a 30 pip range bar chart where each bar equals 30 pips. And also a 10 pip range chart. Trend magic looks good, but I had forgotten when I mentioned this option that the ...

Wow, that brought back some memories. I traded with X-Trader several years ago when I was just trading futures. That was a very quick entry order platform -- nicely put together then, probably even better now.
- BenQ replied Jun 7, 2009
I haven't used the script in a while because I prefer the range bars, but if my memory serves, you simply allow dlls and the chart will tick over with each new price.

TG, very interesting read re: your last post. As to the issue with static TF bars and the 11.3 TF, have you tried your indi on constant range bars? I won't be able to post a chart with constant range bars until the market opens, but they produce a ...

kosomolate has a very good point. Perhaps the nest generation you're working on with less lag is all we need.
- BenQ replied Jun 5, 2009
Hey, pour one for me, Paulus. Have a nice weekend, everyone. And thanks, TG, for all your coding skills. Can't wait to see the non-lag version.
- BenQ replied Jun 4, 2009
Exactly right. And I'm anxious to see your reduced-lag version. I primarily swing H4 charts, and any reduction in lag would be welcomed. When you can, please share a side by side snapshot.

QQE's has been around a long time, and I've tried it from the earliest versions but have never been a real fan. MTF versions of it tend to repaint badly, and I would hate to have its flaws incoporated into your work.

Click through the times and bring some history in.
- BenQ replied Jun 4, 2009
Paulus, I like your approach in post #270 using the TM as a horizontal slider. I think I will incorporate that. Without knowing the code though, I would suspect that you will eventually see repainting when a higher TF changes. Maybe do it the other ...
- BenQ replied Jun 4, 2009
Because I don't need those two other rows, so might as well just make them duplicates. You can change the color to "none" in the parameters, but I use this approach. I'm just interested in M1 and M15. If you wanted to throw in H1, you can do that ...

I was just trying to show a signal in the center of the chart. But to your question, the price bar to the left of your white line would have been a long entry for me, because the bar before (2 bars before white line) closed with 4 vertical blue ...

Here's my current setup and a trade example. Scalping M1 retracements on an M15 chart. Top two rows changed to M15, bottom two both M1. This will avoid any repainting scenarios.
- BenQ replied Jun 4, 2009
Countertrend? Aren't you trading M1 in direction of M15?
- BenQ replied Jun 4, 2009
nisha, you're just scalping M1 and not looking at higher TF at all?
