No, they are not a scam. Other props copy them and one even failed miserably recently, whose business model was more like a scam anyway. FTMO is as transparent as it gets. They even have articles and vids explaining how to actually pass the ...

Yes, they are merchant skrill account. If still in doubt, just open live chat on their website.

Yes you are right... that spike did not happen on my live ICM account, nor did it happen on a demo acct I have of another broker. But.. another FF member did show you a similar spike on his demo account. So the first thing you need to realize is ...

Blistering barnacles.... You are right! (I forgot that I did read about it). Sorry to hear about that mishap, when you were actually up 4k and you had to learn the hard way, which is why I am researching this as much as possible. IF... there was ...

I think I just figured it out.... after reading that phrase of yours. Day 1: Floating loss -4990 (assuming brand new account and 1st trade).... MDL is not breached. Trade is left running. MDL is reset for next day. Day 2: Another losing ...

According to FTMO, only 8% get funded accounts (and that's after pandemic started and volatility increased.. it was lower before that). That means, at least 92% do not succeed. And on the successful funded video reviews I saw on their youtube ...

Yes I already addressed that in point #2 of my post. I understand that part perfectly. Even from the review YT videos, it seems that as soon as the 5% MDL limit is hit, it is over.... and that can happen during open positions (floating losses). So I ...

I actually know the answer to this question. IF... you do not violate the loss limits, the minimum 10 day requirement, + you have made at least 1 cent in profit at the end of challenge.... you get a free repeat. Apparently, it is unlimited number of ...

Not really. I understand that it is based on open positions. That I get. My question is... what's really the actual limit for MDL percentage wise? Is it 5% (+ any initial profits for the day) or...... are we really allowed to have 10% drawdown ...

After extensive reading of FTMO site and relevant FF posts, just when I thought I had MDL (Max Daily Loss) all figured out... I still have one confusion regarding daily drawdown limit. Before I get to the source of that confusion... let me state ...

I never understood the need for people asking traders for 'proof'/trading records/explorers/statements (if they dont want to post it for any reason) on a public forum, for free info/strategies/advice/hints etc. Nobody has to prove anything to ...

You misunderstood my point. It was about what the market does 85% (or majority) of the time. I never said that's what I personally believe. I was merely referring to what other people generally call them, veterans and gurus alike. Of course ranges ...

The person who said OP should only talk when he has made a million - don't forget he has already made almost 50% of the loss. Making back 50% on a small account is not a big deal, but 300k.... that takes steel balls (even for a millionaire). I am ...

Well said. And that's the key to trading.. whether high risk or not. The skill and experience level. I personally dont have a secondary high risk account, but many times I am tempted to have one and just go to town with it lol. But then I stop ...

He is not offering a strategy... that is why it is in the discussion section. He wants to discuss the pros and cons of high risk strategies.
- digiff replied Jul 26, 2020
Yes there is. It just depends on the context and/or how you look at it. When you invest your hard earned/saved/inherited capital in markets (or even a business), that is 'real' risk. Once you have made enough profit that you can withdraw that ...

That's not RSI meter. It's a meter showing price above/below 200 sma on MTF. His trade was actually a good one, according to rules. RSI below 50, channel below and near 200, short entry at top of channel. Even his sma meter was fine... Sure M15 and ...

Indicators not really needed if we look for setups on H1 and above. Looking at (and marking) charts every hour (or 4 hours) should be enough. Only when someone wants to scalp, an indicator with alert helps when dealing with lots of pairs.
- digiff replied Apr 1, 2020
Agreed. In fact, 'alert' is the main reason for opening this thread (post 1). We just have to wait for someone to make one for us, or to add to the existing indies. ...
