A good advice from a very good book: You will not make money trading reversals until you wait for a break of a significant trendline and then for strong reversal bar on a test of the trend's extreme. and so on i'm a smartass, i know

always wait for the second leg. even if a trendline is broken trade with the previous trend and then if confirmed trade against the previous trend. or you will get burned in the end
