If we have taken that bear engulfing as a signal to go short (and also it does not have a confirmation bar), you would have been taken out by the two bullish bar that comes after that thanks to nfp just released.

if you take any EB blindly you would have been stop out by the current 4 hr bullish bar.

I mean to say that bearish bar has no follow through to have another bearish bar closed below it. As you see, what follows that bearish bar were at least 3 bullish bar that will stop you out if you had entered sell just based on that bearish bar
