I remember reading a statement 2 years ago back when there were active interventions before I left for the equity markets that the BoJ had a target of 3 digits. Anything at 100 and above is a safe level that would not spur intervention. Things may ...

Retail boys are net long, short the hell out of this and get them out. Only those who have sized their positions well will survive this fall thanks to Crimea.

Got to love that USD/JPY plunge on Crimea. Not. Now running a net negative.

For traders who do in fact use that as a tool, mean reversion is probably the way that trading strategy that it will implemented.

Correlation does not always stand. While it is useful to incorporate correlation and statistics into arbitrage models or even quant trading models, one must note that when using stats to base decisions off, statistics don't always hold and the ...

Probably will need to make the shorts hugely underwater, short orders doesn't seem to be giving up yet at these price levels especially when it's a new high on many TFs. That said, I'm still a bear on EU, just that tech-wise, 1.4250 has been brought ...

Don't think it matters anymore. If it did, action would have been taken at 1.38, that's where the damage already kicked in. I expected sovereign offers at 3895, never did come in either. Seems like big boys are trying to milk the pair for all its ...

Re-analysis seems to be right for now. Markets want to ignore economic damage of a strong euro, should see EUR strength start to falter during July/August when PIIGS have to be refinanced. 4250 still in the books. Still not going to touch this pair ...

3760 is apparently the number to hit in order to form a top. The break above 3895 brought 4250 into play so 3760 needs to go or tech-wise is set up for 4250. This, from the weekly charts. Reiterating my stance, not touching EU until it reaches 4200 ...

Hi guys, will be on here for a while as the recent AUD numbers had beat my expectations and analysis with impunity. Had a long discussion with my dealer, who is a techie. Apparently, he is convinced that the AUD will be a bull for the coming weeks ...

3760 or 4250. Shall be looking for those 2 levels before deciding on an entry on EU.

I'm out at 3900. Will only enter shorts at 1.42 levels. Won't touch this pair til 1.42 as economic numbers has not surprised me yet. Will however be waiting for NFP to look for spots for more long position building on NZD and UJ. Probably run some ...

Added another short at 3881 with stops behind 3886. At this level it's do or die for shorts. I'm already prepared to go back to the drawing board for a wrong analysis.

Inclined to agree. I have my top at 42 but I'm still short biased til 39 is breached. If it doesn't hold I will not short and go long at appropriate price levels until 42 is achieved. Til then I'm shorting.

It's just the JPY carry trade. This year is all JPY weakness and even more JPY carry. USD/JPY 110 is a very realistic target, not like those far fetched bank estimates of 120.

Looking at 3527/96 accordingly but do note this is not an intraday trade and is a position taken on my a/c that uses a swing/position trading strategy. So size positions accordingly to absorb the swings. SL will be behind 3886.

Shorted @3820/24/30 Pretty happy it went according to plan, although I did not take the long due to my short only bias on EU. Unemployment claims came in pretty damn good which was kind of a shocker to me.

Well they did shut down instant messaging in the dealer rooms as well as to the market making desks so... I guess it's kind of hard coordinating telepathically. Maybe they should start a thread on FF. It should probably bypass compliance.
