Fear — Hey Camptrader, I know exactly where you're coming from. I had a buy in at 1.5561 (200 pips above lowest price of fall - this is just my way of trading after a fall) and my TSL has now moved to 1.5496 - price around 1.5530. After all ...

I was looking at 1.5400 as a possible entry mainly due to my belief there had been a resistance turned support level around that number back in March (I posted this in Zoopy's journal at the time). As I had already taken a losing trade on the way ...

Just my thoughts. Considering the sheer amounts traded in forex each day (2 trillion dollars I've heard bandied around) I don't think it would be relevant if 100% of people at FF traded used this method, it probably wouldn't effect the price overly ...

Hello all, My gut feeling is it will keep re-tracing to around the 1.5400 but I think it wont go straight there. On the daily there is a significant Resistance (around start of March) turned support (near the end of March) at this level. I will be ...

Hey Static, I think the Market itself has turned into a Newbie and doesn't know if it wants to long or short, but keeps jumping up and down scalping itself. Who knows what will happen. I personally would mind it to drop another 200 - 300 pips before ...

Thanks Ocean, personally the platform I use is CFD based anyway (CMC markets). I am happy to manually adjust as needed. May be of assistance to Cruze however, cheers, K8

Cruze, I think Geoffrod may be onto your problem. As your TSL is linked to your original purchase order when it gets swapped out and back in again as part of their interest swap your original order would be closed. Therefore your TSL is also taken ...

Ouch. Probably lucky it was only that far and not a few hundred pip drop. I don't use GFT, but I'd personally give the company a call and make some enquiries. If they don't give you a satisfactory explanation or if they say the platform had an issue ...

Cruze, You are absolutely correct in relation to the SL for question 1. You should be stopped out at B/E using a 50 pip TSL. In relation to question 2 (if this is an actual occurence you have been put through) you have either put the Manual Stop ...

Hey Zoopy, Even though it went through the 1.6000 level it did so by only 20 odd pips before it did the re-trace. Considering the thing has now dropped almost 500 pips this could be it and it will take off again...... Now watch it drop

I agree with you Zoopy. The trendline drawn from the low of the 24/3 to the low of the 18/4 appears to offering support. It has 2 inner touches at 3/4 and 14/4) therefore satisfying the 3 touch rule for significance. This TL projected up has 1.5800 ...

Was this an issue with your broker, eg set the TP and a gremlin got in there and it wasn't activated. If this is the case maybe you should hit them up to recoup your losses. K8
