What else they would start with, what do you have in mind? An intermediary (agency) or you are thinking of interactions ( buy/sell ) directly with/to the banks (the banks are LPs)? You can’t be a newbie & be licensed to trade through the exchange.

A newbie should start their trading with a broker who is 100% DMA / STP intermediary agent model, and who is operating by using the core spreads directly from their LPs; without any mark-up from their side.

Even ESMA lowered the leverage for retail clients, which supposing is in favor of the clients as it offers them more flexibility (as they claimed)
