Hi, So this is my first trading journal, I'm not going to post the trades after I've taken them, ...

By the way, are you using tick data for opening trades? I think it is better to open trades on barcloses rather than on tick as some candles have really long exhaustions.

I think that you should only trade forex if you have a main job beside it this way you never feel "broke" and can invest between time and the other without really feeling that your life is on a threat.

I agree with you, no body can tell how much "Brexit" is already priced in GBP rates right now, it should cause a major short-squeeze after the result in June should the vote be no brexit. So strategy is to sell rally, and buy after the event when ...

Care to share the gain (%) and max drawdown on account just to see if that's worthy for long term like that?

    • midouch replied Apr 1, 2016

Please open the EA in editor to see the tf coded. You can use any timeframe as long as you know what's considered an exhausted move for that pair. e.g. EUR/GBP 5m chart, 50pip move far from the Moving Average would be considered agressive, and it ...

Good tight stop buy trade opportunity here. Bullish divergence in 15m+ 1hr/4hr 200 /100 ma support (demand zone) your stop can be just below the day low I guess. Anyway I think it should bounce up soon So I'm rebuying if the stop is hit

Using ma as S/R this looks like setting a minor uptrend and like the above post favour to stall between 1.4200-1.4210 4hr MA's and also 1hr 200 MA, an extended move can target 1.4240. But i think the area between 1.42-1.4240 is full of resistance

I would never rely on backtest, let alone one year of testing. That will wipe out your account. You need at least 10yrs backtest, and a few months forward test (demo) then you can say it is profitable. Excuse me but when I tried to backtest year ...

I'm not perfect in coding but I think it's as simple as checking Bid - Ask or the opposite I am not sure. if it's above specific spread , return false.

The idea is profitable in the long run, I can't deny that. The fact that the EA can make 2-3% per whole year is negative. As you can earn more with bank and without risk (30% drawdown)

Max drawdown was 30% on EURUSD Net Profit 40%. I think this does not count swap/commissions, 40% in 26 years hmm.. that's for 10K account. If I increased the lotsize to 0.10 account is blown after a few months of trading. Just my test results and ...
