However you spin it, being pushed into a recession is better than being in a recession, aka Germany, so no need to push the Brexit phobia agenda. I really hope we see 5.5% rates this year as our housing market needs to be taken down a peg or two. ...

That's some leverage you got there, the P&L swings would be immense.

Looks like they did there old trick of burning shorts at 16300 before a turnaround and then take out the longs.

If you are still holding Cad/Jpy I would try and cut some of the position with profit from other trades as the swap is a killer. Whilst Japanese equities are still going up I don't see the Yen strengthening.

Lets see if it closes above Friday's close 906 ish, its hovering just under it at the moment. US retail sales probably next major driver.

We went back to London open but could not get above that level. Now the market is trying to close the gap back to Friday's close. I'm staying out for now.

The trading range is very tight today with only 30 pips of movement after London open. We have a slight bullish bias as we are trading higher than Fridays close but we are also at the top of the range near resistance. Debt ceiling could easily coast ...

Still plenty of pips to make if you know what you are doing but I'm struggling with the small ranges and the overall level of the Dax/Indices. I have this feeling that a trapdoor will open one of these days leading to a big decline which is keeping ...

Fair play that takes some courage :-) My problem in that situation is that I would double down too often, and try and move my average higher and then drain my account before it turned. I figured a <£500 loss was better than losing a chunk of my ...

Sorry nosey question. Are you still holding from 144 ish? I gave up on my earlier positions 145ish as I couldn't stomach a big drawdown.

Horrible and sticky price action. The kind where I tend to overleverage myself in the hope of a bounce.

Annoying but lets see what happens. I don't like trading Friday's as the MM's play games and you tend to pull the trigger too quickly to dig yourself out of a hole. Brutal sell off.

Somebody on the Pivot trading thread made a good point. Month end profit taking? It has been a fairly good run for Dax.

Good luck if you want to stick yourself through a blender. I wouldn't try and hold JPY long as I never have the confidence to put on a decent sized position.
