I say this every time, and no one listens. No outage at all yesterday on Desktop Pro or for executions in general, just MT4. Either use Desktop Pro where there hasn't been an outage in I don't even know how many years, or have a second account on ...

Um, that's because most of the banks are shutting down in the last 2 minutes on a Friday trying to get out the door for the weekend. Why would you wait until the last 2 minutes of the week to trade?

They have two quotes feeds. If you are using FREE EXN quotes, you have the "." If you use PFL, you don't. There has to be a way to distinguish between the two.

I suspect that if there is a difference in the spreads as small as suggested, it is, as you said, mostly because of the lack of traders. We know that trade volume in Forex has dropped sharply across the board. Some of it is due to regulation, but ...

Just FYI, you didn't "choose" their "EXN". You choose their FREE EXN spread/commission plan. Both of their spread offerings use the EXN. The FREE EXN plan just means that their mark-up is built into the spread and that you don't get paid for Limit ...

Here's what to do. Log into the same account with Desktop Pro. Place the order in MT4 and watch the Orderbook and Open Orders and Positions windows in Desktop Pro while you do it. This will let you know if the delay is execution or just display and ...

    • IndyTrader replied Apr 10, 2013

The main question is whether or not you use Limit orders much. For example, if you buy the EURUSD and put a Limit to sell it at a certain price if it gets up there, that's a Limit you would get paid on. That makes the PFL plan much better. But if ...

Yes, you can do that on either plan. The excerpt you quoted is simply saying that you wouldn't get paid for the Limit piece of the trade on your Stop Limit (because it is marketable). Has nothing to do with which plan you can or should use.

I'm 100% familiar with them. That's why I'm asking, because I think you are reading something wrong. You can do Stop Limits on the PFL plan as well.
