If you're going to trade multiple day pins (or any PA), I would probably stick to the visual method of combining bars. Even if you find a period converter with a time shift function to merge the bars you want in your chart, you will still need 2 ...

Too much congestion above plus the weekly BEOVB at the double top will keep me out of the long trade. There might be potential, but I'm staying away and waiting for something better.

Inspiring - Nice work! — I've been trying to pick up the info in this thread and have not been very dedicated to doing it the right way. I'm really impressed with how well you've stuck to learning and demoing and I see how it's paying off. ...

JPY Pin Bars — I think that the xxx/JPY pin bars all look really good but my worry would be that they appear to be retracements that all happen to make pin bars on the daily timeframe. I have attached charts of the NZD/JPY and EUR/JPY pairs on ...

I'm pretty sure that mt4 allows closing of partial positions. I don't have my mt4 platform in front of me, but I think you just click on the trade and click close and then change the position size so that it's only part of the position that you're ...

It does look nice with the bounce of hourly S/R, but there's not enough room to run for me to like it. The bar is with the trend, but I'm not sure that it's technically a pin (it's really close so it probably depends on the feed whether the bar ...

Thanks, Rac! I really need to learn to zoom out and look farther left on my charts. I greatly appreciate the help since I know that you and all of the other people that keep this thread going do not have to take your time to help those of us still ...

Merry Christmas! I didn't think your first post sounded arrogant, so don't worry about it. I'm a regular reader of the thread, so I assumed from your other posts that you were not being arrogant (maybe just bummed that a fellow trader bailed too ...

Raczekfx, I wish I had the confidence to stay in the trades as long as you do. I've looked around and didn't seem to see this asked, but please forgive me if it has been. Can I ask why you have your TP1 point marked where it is (EUR/CHF) and not up ...

This is not a DIBS trade as marked by the red line. The bar you pointed out is an IB and it is below the Daily open at 06:00GMT, but your entry point is below the low of the bar, not below the close of the bar (where the red line is located).

It was a great trade - reversal at support. I just wanted to make sure I didn't have my open time wrong this morning or that I wasn't missing something else. I always like to see successful trades and good price action (IB around s/r), so thank you ...

DIBS Trade? — This is a really nice IB reversal trade, but I don't think that it is a DIBS trade since you would only be looking to go long as the IB did not straddle the daily open price and the IB was above the daily open price. Please ...

That's a bit more complicated to explain but I'll give it a try. Basically I use Alt-PrtScn to get just the active window on the clipboard (I use Windows so this might not work for all operating systems). In OANDA you can open a new chart window so ...

Hope this helps — There's a little grid box near the trade info display area. See the attached picture since I think it's more clear. Good trading, Brian

I apologize for the confusion - I knew I should not have put in the part about your post time since it would be confusing. My post and the inital post about your chart was solely to point out that you had a vertical line on your chart which we ...

I don't think that the concern is that the time on the bottom of the posted chart doesn't match GMT but rather that it appears your open line is the open of the 05:00GMT bar and not the 06:00GMT bar. You posted that chart at 07:00GMT which means ...

The weekly pinpar? — Are you referring to the pinbar from 2 weeks ago? I'm still not an expert at all james16 knowledge, but I think that pinbar has played out (and I would guess it paid out for those that traded it well). There is definitely ...

I4B — According to this definition, I don't think that the last bar on u/j is an I4B - it's just an IB. Is this correct? Just trying to get all of my PA terms straight. Thanks, Brian
