When you do get your money to your etx account, withdraw what you can and then close your account.

No you shouldn't. You were given the choice on the portal between etx and fscs. If you chose etx then any money payouts will go to your etx account, not to your bank account. That's what I was lead to believe back when we had to choose.

I have recieved the "a payment has been made to your account" email, from KPMG the day AFTER the payment landed in my account. So don't necessarily expect the email to arrive before the money.

No they did not email me beforehand. I just checked my bank account after seeing people post here that they got paid and it was there. I just checked my email account, no emails from fscs or kpmg.

So it took them about 5 months 16 days to pay. I'll keep this in mind for the future. I never recieved ANY emails from FSCS about payment. Their communication sucks, but at least they paid.

Folks, I am in the UK and just got paid in full from FSCS today. Lost £100 in the conversion fees etc but I can live with it.

KPMG will want to drag this out for as long as possible so they can make as much money as possible. But the FSCS is a government department and doesn't make any money from dragging things out.
