jangezkhan, 1. Search this forum for "ATR". 2. When calculating/considering probabilities - should the algo give some "factor" to short/long pattern sequence? 3. My DB doesn't hold ATR data (maybe it should...), but it does hold OHLC data. The algo ...

    • gg53 replied Sep 6, 2014

jangezkhan, "how in all of GG53's posts the algorithm is seen to do very very short ZZ legs as well as long ones" Simple: ATR. Compare volatility (ATR) to previous ZZ leg, expect next swing to occur in shorter/longer pattern based on it. G.

Mr_You, 1. "5 pip Range bar = 1" - No. That's Renko bar. Range bars measure total movement in any direction. It could be 2 up and 3 down. 2. "What is the function of the High/Low here?" - Fractals are marked on High/Low, not on Open/Close. 3. ...

FerruFx, If you read my posts on the subject you'll notice that I consider fractals 2 bars after the fact, and from that point on they doesn't repaint. G.

Xaphod, 1. Fractals doesn't repaint, and they actually appears 2 bars later and not 1. ZZ repaints. 2. As to thread location: I simply followed the previous one, sorry about that. 3. Let's conclude that I'm not an honest person. G. Edit: "Elvis has ...

cielo55588, Here are EURUSD charts for M5 & M15 from just now. Conflicting signals? or M5 is signaling the end of retracement of M15? Watch it from this point on. G.

Xaphod, Do you see any question here that is not answered? Does the process of creating the DB, filtering it, updating it - is clear? Probabilities calc explained? "Error" corrections? Yes, there was some things in the process of explanations that I ...

Hi All, "Channel" Breakout: Another way to spot or define a "channel" of consolidation (and try to trade its "breakout"): First occurance of a bar which its High/Low range include 4 (or more) consecutive bars that either their Open or Close (or ...

Relativity, Regarding the use of 2 indicators: 1. Fractals: See my comment on Post #645 - Page 33 - http://www.forexfactory.com/showthre...23#post7444223 2. ZZ: it's a by product of Fractals (and the way you conceive it). After all data gathering ...

Auspicatum, This is *ALWAYS* true. Not all currency pairs are created equal... You need to know the difference between MAJOR currency pairs and SYNTHETIC pairs. Synthetic pairs are simply a math multiplication (or division, which is multiplicaion of ...

giovanni4000, a) Yes, we can use older versions (not supported by many brokers) and we can prevent "AutoUpdate". But... Do you know for how long? b) Some brokers provide an open API for their data stream and buy/sell commands. Our platform can ...

Hi Everyone, Sorry for “disappearing” for such a long time. If you remember, from few of my last posts, I was quite pissed by MT4 600 build forcing us to change and modify a lot – without us having much option or saying on that matter. So I decided ...

Mr_You, My algo does not relies on ZZ end-point at all. Only case that I look for ZZ and its "confirming" fractal are in cases where swing predicted mark (arrow) is much different from "real" ZZ mark AND the current leg is not finished its predicted ...

jackprobe, Since the system is fractals-based, and fractals are based on high/low, I follow the same logic. When comparing "large bar" to avg previous ones - I use the high-low measurement of the bars. G.

giovanni4000, As I said, building the database is based on the ZZ. I'm not moving it an inch. I count the bars, register their OHLC, count the fractals in between and their spaces, and add one fractal at the top (for Long move) or bottom (for Short ...
