Suppose I'm not awake at 2am when the AUD restricted news happenes ? No, this is too punitive, borderline scam that they let you do something which they will then terminate your account for. I don't think FTMO is for me.

But it's not just EA trading - if your SL gets hit that's also not allowed. So even disabling the EA won't help. It's like they're punishing you for using an SL.

FTMO's "no news trading" policy is really harsh. If you trade, including your SL or TP being hit two minutes either side of a news announcement they close your account !! Really, really puts me off trading with them, especially as I trade with an ...

18pip wide spreads on USDCAD today !! Lunchtime, no news and low volatlity. I counted at least 20 times over an hour-long period. FxPro support say they'll "look into it" ....

It makes no difference .... still paints arrows before the bar is closed. Did you try your code on this indicator ?

Thanks - but it didn't help. It is still drawing up or down arrows on the current bar, rather than waiting until the bar is closed.

The problem with this indicator is that it recalculates every tick: it should only calculate at the close of the bar. Does anyone know how to do that ?

I've searched the thread but can't find an answer ... can the downloading of data be automated by running the .bat file using Task Scheduler or something similar ?? If so, what parameters (if any) do I need to use ?

It is virtually impossible to 100% ensure that your server cannot get hacked. Dedicated or VPS makes no difference ....

Why would you want to run MT4 on a VPS ?!? Speaking as someone who has owned servers (including VPS's) for years, you can virtually guarantee that the server will be hacked into sooner rather than later and what do you think the hacker's going to do ...

No the stop wasn't hit. It was closed 20pts away from my stop, which FXDD have acknowledged.
