I would have to agree since I also trade the DAILY chart. There is no valid entry LONG on the EUR/USD. Venice is right that the close is typically not the best entry, especially considering the recent push up. A minor pullback on the hourly may ...

Though a higher time scale than yours, I am still LONG EUR/USD. Looks like a break of the resistance @ 1.465 - don't see anything really significant until 1.488 which obviously the "common" top of the previous up movement will inherently become a ...

I would agree. Not only does it tend to trend the majority of it's yearly cycles, but it typically respects S/R zones very well making it somewhat predictable in it's behavior. I have two examples of S/R lines on my current chart (one a little more ...

If you look at the monthly, it's really not all that bad. I see a couple of areas around 2003-2004 where you would have been stopped out for around a 500-600 point loss, but the gains are tremendous. (screen attached).

I use it as well on the Daily, so I'm gonna jump in on this thread as well. I use it in combination with a few other indicators to know when to jump in and out. I posted a few screens of my analysis desktop. If the market holds above this level ...

I don't see any reason why we wouldn't. I'm currently LONG and don't see anything in the technicals that would indicate covering my position. Momentum is still to the upside.

Long - Short? — My three hour LONG got knocked out last night for a little more than 120bps. 15 minute chart setting up for possible LONG developing, but I have an entry order in place on the hourly SHORT.

So again, in an attempt to restore normality....or perhaps the lunacy is the normality? Anway, here's what Rueters on Oanda has:

It basically depends on your trading style. I use Oanda which is supported under Linux and am fine with the default indicators. I don't need any specialty indicators to trade, so for me the answer would be no. I don't care for MT4 personally and ...

Ah...OK. I wish I could say I was surprised. Ronnie has some talent. He says he has black hair, but I think he looks more like this:

Take a look at the screen and you'll see what I'm talking about.

Mine is pretty humble in comparison. Once the last daughter is out of the house, I'm going to convert the 2nd largest bedroom into a office that's a bit more spaced out.

Draw a horizontal across the top and bottom at the common candle points and you have a range. Place an entry order too close to the top and bottom, and you could be holding for a while. Some breakout strategies utilize that same method, but .... ...

To close to top of the channel for a LONG....no certain evidence, other than futures tanking, that EUR will drop.
- MuddBuddha replied Jun 25, 2010
Even though it seems a bearish pattern has started to develop, it could go either way. (how's that for a "sitting on the fence" analysis?) I normally don't place entry orders till 8:30. Just sit and watch PA for about an hour prior. If I were to lay ...

Bumping into the perfume sampler girl at the mall and then going home to your wife smelling of GoGirl No.5 is "suspicious". Not conceding while the jackals circle the zebra is just plain crazy> Remember: If you drink, don't drive. Don't even putt.

AK, I found you a new avatar.... If your current avatar had his front teeth, this probably wouldn't be an issue with "screen spew"

That, and the news that the giant oil "plumes" under the water were acutally made of pudding and not crude oil as previously suspected. If it's good for the Shatner, it's good enough for the pelicans....and sea otters....and walrus'.
