Hi, yes I am well aware of this but considering we are on a break out off support at 63 with more crap US figures, Is a pullback likely to get me in at a much better price?

I'm long 6344, are we off the 6450 do you think?
- Phil Warran replied May 26, 2011
or long to 6450 if short stop is taken out?

Anyone else going short? Any advice?

Personally, I would wait for a confirmed close above the 4 hour trendline before going long if you are not sure of your support zone. For me this has about an 80-90% success rate.

Many of the traders here have really got balls (mixed with good analysis) and bottom/top pick regularly, so don't feel bad about it. I myself only trade with the trend as I hate draw down and prefer swing trading so I can step away from my screen ...

I see your point Tau, good luck with that.

Just food for thought. US stocks had a lousy market day yesterday contributing to dollar strength. This move up could just be a temporary correction before going further south to 1.60.

Sorry Low, "jumping in now" is irresposible language and I don't advocate just jumping in early for no reason. I just saw that market had reached 6209 (or 08 actually) at the 61.8 retrace and could not see why it should go higher to 6220-40.

I agree, I guess with a potential 200 pip trade with a smaller lot size off a 61.8 retrace I am torn between good and evil
- Phil Warran replied May 24, 2011
why 6220? 6209 is the 61.8 retrace why not get in now? Market might miss your entry.

Yep, very active Asian session. I have no idea where I got 6168 from. I mean 6150
- Phil Warran replied May 24, 2011
nope, shorting 6168
- Phil Warran replied May 24, 2011
shorting 62 to head down to 60. I'm trying to break away from these retracement trades but I am very confident we have movement down to at least 60 to come.

I wouldn't put too much hope in long profit targets past 6180. I'm selling at 6175 going for 6000
- Phil Warran replied May 20, 2011
Or trend continuations of course. We can only stay in this tight range for so long
