Beauty... you mainly just try to scalp 1:1's on DAX right? I've been on a trend following divergence based system and its really fun to trade with... got me wondering though if divergence works with renkos, have you ever tried it? Sounds really ...

Interesting combination of custom indis. Have you thought of making a dashboard for this so you can get notified once all requirements are hit for you pairs?

Hi Hutch I believe your last iteration of your renko day-trading system before halftrendTT was just a simple MA cross as well so I'm not too original. I just threw a bunch of your indicators together to create some sort of makeshift renko system ...

Yea Im thinking 5 is great too. I still like to use 10 as a reference for overall trend but sometimes seeing more noise is better. Noise = information. With the 5 you can pinpoint entries and smaller levels which I like. How has your trading been, ...

Hi John, sadly this has been my demo where I am testing ideas as well as my Ea. If this were a real account I would have taken profit much earlier on each of the trades today. What specifically are you curious about?
- Thebulldawg replied Oct 12, 2020
Hey all. While I've been getting an Ea created using a 14ema and 21smma cross on renko with very specific trade management, I've also just been messing around with day trading the Nasdaq using the same moving averages but a more manual approach. ...

Yes DAX is king. There is definitely something there when paired with renko. With my system im really only trying to trade a few hours a day. Maybe an hour after open so it calms down, take a few trades to net 10-20 ...

[quote=jarfx05;13184215] Interesting, thanks jarfx. Just curious, why would using the 500 point bricks be useless if I am only wanting a small profit per trade. With all my back and forward testing it still seems very profitable. Again, not going ...

Hi everyone! New to this thread, been obsessed with renko recently so thought I'd surround myself with some renko traders and learn more about it. Been trading a couple years but always price action on cadlesticks. I have been testing a simple MA ...

Very nice trade Hutch, milking it! With this D1 trading, I would assume you monitor many pairs right? I would also assume it doesn't result an many substantial losses since the confirmation is strong.
- Thebulldawg replied Aug 26, 2020
That seems like a great system to have in the background as a secondary system but thats a little too boring for me I wouldn't mind pulling up a chart every time I get a MA cross alert but you do bring up a good point about how missing ...
- Thebulldawg replied Aug 26, 2020
thanks and thanks for the advice. I thought that initially but noticed that there are really only 1 or 2 crosses per pair per day, and London open for me is 3am lol. Do you mean to be careful because it’s a lot to track that many crosses, or be ...

Been messing around with some renko strategies and decided to keep it really simple. I went with 10 pip bricks and works best on higher ATR pairs. Super simple, basically just a 10 EMA with a 20 SMMA, sell when EMA crosses the 20 and buy when ...

download his renko chart indicator, open a chart you want to turn into renko, go to the m1 timeframe, scroll back a couple weeks to load the history, insert the renko chart indicator, pick the pip amount per brick (usually 10) and remove wicks if ...

I did. Assuming the old arrows dont in fact repaint as stated earlier, which i dont think they do. I backtested two GBP pairs over 1 weeks time with $10 bricks and they netted 800 pips in that one week collectively
- Thebulldawg replied Aug 21, 2020
Have you looked at the old strategy that does not repaint? I backtersted it with a few pairs and the results were still extraordinary. Sure there are some losses during consolidation but they are vastly offset with the huge wins. I just hope these ...
