price just broke through the neckline of the h&s formation on the daily chart so i would be wary of that pinbar. it could be signaling a move back up to retest the neckline (support turned resistance) though

nice find dude. i think its a little too late to enter that one now...maybe if it pulls back. btw, the nose hit the 50ema to the pip. really nice setup

haha, i just woke up and saw the daily pin and immediately went to this thread to post it....guess i was late. when you say "this may be the beginning of a larger retracement" you are refering to it retracing up from the huge downmove over the last ...

mike, just saw your post on auslanco's thread. nice find on the 1hr pinbar. however, the last 1hr just closed as a pinbar too but in the opposite direction. does that mean price is undecided right now? i don't see why price would break that t/l ...

awesome advice. thx mike also, what do you think of this channel gbpjpy is trading in? do you always draw your tls to the highs? because in this case, the price broke through the bottom tl on the 15th but then closed above on the next bar...after ...

hey mike, i know it hasn't closed yet but this is a pretty nice pinbar sitting right under the tl. you think a break below the 24/28 ema would be a good entry if it pans out? EDIT: do you normally wait a see how the bar closes after the pinbar? i ...

that doesnt look like a pinbar to me....the current bar could close as a pinbar (a pretty crappy one) if it stays around the current level

im sure someone posted this already but we had a nice rejection off the daily trendline. also, newest 4hr bar opened underneath 24ema so that should be pretty good resistance. first tp is 4hr gann.

thx dude....felt good making trades off my own analysis. one question though...do you normally trade on fridays?

mike, been messing around with the trendlines on eurchf and cadjpy. i have both trendlines basically running in line with the 24&28 emas as well as the 4hr gann. although cadjpy violated that initial wedge, the new tl created a bigger wedge with ...

but you are looking for these patterns on the higher tfs right? for instance, you said gbp/chf has a pin bar against the trend but you wont trade it until you see solid price action indicating its reversal.....i assumed that meant you would be ...

could you go into a little detail regarding the type of price action you would look for to determine a reversal? i hear people say that alot but its confusing to me because i thought price action was all price patterns (double tops, h&s, pinbars, ...

gotcha. is the resistance you're referring to the 24&28 emas? because i see how it bounced right off that area. and what sort of move would it have had to make at the 24/28emas for you to believe that it had broken that resistance? would you have ...

when cad/jpy closed above the trendline, did you close out your positions and then re-entered at a later point?
- DaddyWarbuck replied Jan 9, 2008
couldnt this also be a decending triangle? i forgot....is that a trend continuation or trend reversal price pattern? im guessing its continuation
- DaddyWarbuck replied Jan 9, 2008
some of the senior members are picky bout that kind of stuff. i just added those two emas to cadjpy and price is siting right on top of both of them and trying to break through as i type this. just wondering, is the h&s still valid now that it has ...

mike, i was just looking at cad/jpy and it looks like a h&s has formed. best tf to view it is the 1h. is this a proper h&s? edit: didnt mean to intrude on your analysis...just tryin to get ure opinion
