1) EURUSD not much of a problem at that size for directional trades, but for scalping you will be better off at about half that size. GBPUSD is a bigger problem, and you probably can't get the size and price you want. 2) No. 3) EBS for EURUSD will ...

Based on my extensive experience, IB is the best forex broker. I also have accounts trading on EBS, Reuters, Currenex, and HotspotFXi. None of them can beat IB when it comes to liquidity and tight spreads over multiple currency pairs. EBS and ...

What TraderKGB says is true, but you should also realize that the number you see on the inside spread is not necessarily representative of the true size available at that price. You will find LP's that have more actual depth than they are showing -- ...

The disadvantage of using trades only is that there are far fewer trades than quotes, and you might go for a long time without seeing an update to the trade stream, while the market in reality has moved away. I am up currently on the EBS test ...

I'm not interested in divulging details of my orders. I will tell you that I normally have multiple orders, all smaller than 20m, but in aggregate much more than that. I also use iceberg orders. Yes, you are right that it is a liquidity issue. But ...

We're really talking about two different things here. I agree that 20m will have no long term impact, but it will have a short term impact. For example, for the last 15 minutes I've had resting limit orders to buy GBP/JPY. The market drifts down to ...

Respectfully, I disagree. I understand your point, and you are correct that there is more of an effect on the prices at an individual ECN than on the market as a whole. But I am currently trading at three venues -- Currenex, HotspotFXi, and IB. ...
