Hello Martin, I have attempted to do this in the editor but I really don't know enough, I believe it is fairly simple: I use Heikin- Ashi bars with the line price graph on top, with a smooth MA, ALMA. I would like it to enter on the 2nd candle if ...

CAVEAT - the Price Line only draws the next point at the end of the period, in this case H4, you might want to monitor the price against the ALMA in the H1 TF...or simply the development of the APBs.

Oh and the ATR 7 periods indy to determine possible volatility stops and profit points, always coherent with your LEVELS!! Maybe a SL of 75% ATR and a TP of 1.4 ATR, play with these numbers and see how they fall comparing LEVELS. Good trading to all.

Ok people, a very simple application / template....evolving from thread principles. Line Price chart in black over the Average Price Bars + 55 EMA ( for general trend detection), and ALMA 9 ... We're looking for color change and cross of price line ...

Yes Ezzy that's correct, the idea being killing the false crosses quickly, you can see that the good ones do produce a fair amount of profit. By minimizing the loss amounts we get a favorable profit ratio. Bear in mind that if you use this method ...

By scratch trade I mean one that is not profitable, as I generally have a nominal 20 pip stop which is a safety stop, in other words if the price turns back on me against the yellow ALMA crossing it, I would close the trade right away instead of ...

Thanks for the kind words, Megaboy, and also for your methodology which makes perfect sense.

No Capt. the entry is described in the first page, those white lines are the market open lines that 4xplosion uses as general reference. Wait until you see the MA's cascade in the right direction and in the right order, of course. There is no need ...

All it does is give you an early entry or warning of impending move, I recommend using candles to read PA for exits, moving stops, etc. Also 2 things to have in mind are: levels of S/R or Round Numbers and the slope or angle of the ALMA MA.
- geosanuy replied Feb 16, 2013
Yea sure, Phil as I have been saying avail yourself of the candles for PA interpretation, this is more like an early warning entry system.
- geosanuy replied Feb 15, 2013
Thanks 4xplosion, yes of course the Line Graph is in the MT4 Chart options. Will look at your market open line and see what it brings.

Glad you guys are getting something out of this...ANY system requires training, most addition a whole bunch of technical doodads to keep your eye on and still you have to train your eyes on the PA, I think with this entry method you can acquire the ...

Not every PL cross is valid, observe the slope of the ALMA and your levels to detect consolidation, trade once the ALMA starts moving, better results obviously with latest bias. image The salmon rectangles show the no-trade crosses, the ovals the ...

Another option, which I think is better would be to use the ALMA cross entry and then switch to candles to read PA for a better exit. The orthodox exit would be the crossback over the ALMA, which is safe and profitable, but if you can use PA to get ...

Also notice how the TDI signal line mimics the Price Line and the RSI Ma or red TDI line closely follows the ALMA Ma...but clearly the ALMA is more responsive and the PL crosses quicker.... So in fact, you could have a BETTER TDI to use as an ...

As I have said, this is an entry method, so do feel free to apply it to your scheme.... Most of us have learned to use an oscillator as confirmation to PA, that is because the osci will inevitably lag the price signal...though it does give us an ...

the plane...the plane!

A little more on rationale... image The "candle" numbers seem to have slipped their original positions... they are in reference to the nice downward move previously, just so you get the fact that on M15 a 3-4 period move is par for the course.
- geosanuy replied Jan 26, 2013
I feel this a very hands-on type of method, I don't see the need, maybe if you're on D1 and +100 or the like.
