Probably the Worst 'Take Profit' Line in the World... — LOL, this is where I set TP on my trade, behind triple confluence! 365ema, ppz and Trend Line

Yeah that's the weakest part of the book. He slows right down, repeats a bit and even gets a bit surreal with his psychology. Most of the good stuff is in the first half. But you should read the last chapter (11) [damn, didn't mean the pun], he gets ...

Good news on my USD/CAD from Tuesday's BUOB, TP2 hit, TP3 @ 1.0718. Not so good on my Eur/Gbp weekly DBHLC, TP1 was taken early on, but I set TP2 at 86.37. This TP is wrong on two levels, firstly its on weekly FIB which I think is invalid (and ...

Hi Treefingers I was thinking exactly the same thing the other night. JPY seems like a wild beast compared to the other currencies, and makes me nervous when I put a trade on it. So I started playing around on the charts, I saw something amazing ...

Thanks for the kind comments Imphilomath. Don't read too much into a noobies luck, this is just an psychology excercise. I'm trying to trade J16 minimum requirements, but Jaroo has already pointed out that my SL strategy is wrong, but I will ...

Trade 6+7 of 20 I've placed a pending SELL order on USDJPY BEOB. And another pending SELL order on the USDCHF Pin Bar. I still have 2 LONG open positions on USDCAD so it doesn't make a 100% sense, but I'm trading PA as I see it.

Hi Strateg119 You don't need to be looking at 27 pairs. As a fellow beginner, here is what I'm doing. (Its based on an exercise in Trading in the zone by Mark Douglas - cannot recommend it enough, get it and read it). The purpose of this exercise is ...

USDJPY Daily — Hi Is this a tradeable BEOB on USDJPY? Other variables going for it is price has already retraced on the Fib 50, went up to and kissed the 150ema, falling back down through the Fib 50, and is balancing on round number of 90.

It was the same for EUR/GBP. So many FX analysts were 'predicting' a longterm move to parity and beyond, it never happened. I treat the 'news/analysis' like astrology now, sometimes entertaining if you've got time to waste, but never to be taken ...

Hi Jaroo, Mike W You've just been discussing the USD/CHF Trade, I'm fairly new here but I tried to take this trade as J16 orthodox as possible. It was a Pending Order (demo) so 10pips above the pin. I set my Demo A/c at $1,500, and wanted to max ...

What about the previous bar, isn't it a BUOB coming off a Bullish TL. Price could go any way IMO.

Thanks for putting up the chart James16. Clearly showing the strength of confluence. If I may ask a beginner question, while PA is first and foremost in this system/style, how many layers of confluence does an A+ trade require. Edit: Too late, ah ...

I'm reading "Trading in the Zone - by Mark Douglas" Its hard to imagine any trader reaching long term consistency without applying his teaching. I can say this thread and that book are the two most important discoveries I've made so far on my short ...

Superb posts Mike. Thank you also from me. I haven't seen anyone describe the stages of becoming a trader before; usually its one of two camps either noobies or seniors/expert/profitable. Really helpful.
