AUDUSD had no follow-through in the end. USDJPY still waiting for continuation.

I think that price was a bit too high on the right shoulder, for the formation to be a valid Head & Shoulders. A double top, maybe. However, why are you trying to catch reversals rather than trade in the direction of the trend?

We are seeing USD strength (risk on appetite) following yesterday's comments from the US. The USDJPY trade is working out well, for now. Here is another trade I am following today: AUDUSD Daily is bearish (price below EMA8 and EMA 89, MACD making ...

EURUSD seems to be in pullback mode on the Daily chart, however the correction hasn't finished on the 4hr chart. One to watch out for. Today's candidate is the USDJPY. Breaking out of a large triangle formation on the daily, we have the following on ...

Hi Yaakruay, thanks for your reply. Will be interesting to see if the market confirms your analysis. Mine was obviously not complete, waiting to hear from other members their thoughts.

Normally I would wait for the reversal-pullback to play out, and then try to re-enter on the short side. In this case, all timeframes are essentially bearish, pointing to further lows. However, many times these reversals are the beginning of a ...

One such reversal is forming currently. Curious to see how it will play out

Excellent. Thank you for your reply. Going with the trend (on the 1hr), when the trend is strong, is the easy part. The question always arises at the turning points. For example, if you have a strong down-trend, but get a HL on the 1hr chart, do you ...

Hi Vantage, Below is a chart of this mornings EURUSD trade, with my understanding of your method after reading through the previous pages. For a short, in this case: (1) Wait for a LH on the 1hr chart (2) Once the LH on the 1hr is established, wait ...

Hi Musashi, Your trades and the commentary you put look quite interesting. However, they don't seem to be always in line with the method described here by Vantage. In order not to side-track this thread, why don't you consider creating your own ...

Hi Doug, I, like a lot of people on FF I am sure, have been following your running commentary with great interest. It's fascinating how common our mistakes all are. Greed and fear continue to dominate the markets, no matter how rational we try to ...

M.A.C.Doug, what can I say... excellent work! Like I said above, I like the way you seem to be taking small, consistent profits, rather than waiting for the large windfall (but also sustaining drawdowns)... Good job! Keep it up!

MACDoug, since you continue to have stellar performance, it would be interesting (to me at least) to post some of your trades after you take them, with some explanations of your thinking process, if you have the time. Thanks in advance

Doug, Thank you for your long and thorough post!! I've been struggling for a long time with a R:R 2:1, as per conventional wisdom. However, I could never get my % wins over 50%, to have a meaningful growth in my account. Actually, the reason is ...

Hi MACDoug, I have the following question for you: Even though you seem to be analyzing top-down from the daily chart, yet your trades are scalps essentially. From your stats you have an average win or loss of around 10 pips. What drives the ...

Good morning MACDoug, First off, congrats on the fabulous performance! The market gods have been good to you in the past month it seems, giving you volatility to put wind in your sails.. IMHO, what you must avoid doing is to set a target for ...

and it's only fitting that my first post on this thread turns out to be a loss-making one! Actually, the BETTER trades are when all 3 timeframes agree - the 4hr, the 1hr, and the 5min. Currently the 4hr is pointing up, and the 60min has been ...
