yep i'm in... — woke up on time today, so placed my orders as normal (with the short at 16408), rather than the short being much more inside the box (ie about 16421). at time of writing, a break to the downside was made passed the heavy s/r ...

I tend to agree with you Intel on this. The number of times that there is a retrace back into the box once the box is broken is statistically very significant (he says, based on a spot check rather than any meaningful statistical analysis). Prop ...

Top man Vic, I think I've got the MM under control generally but happy to hear ur views, that is to say I adjust my lot size to ensure that i risk no more than 1% of my capital per trade; and i limit myself to no more than half a dozen trades (6% ...

yes, albeit fortuitously. I got in a couple of days ago but based on the D1 price action; price was just bouncing off the kumo and the chikou was just confirming bullish sentiment. on the daily chart the bullish trend has been established for weeks ...

Thanks big guy, I guess I have 2 follow up questions 1 - do you personally take trades where you have span B nearer price action that spanA? 2 - what do you rely on, if anything, to determine s/r levels?

SL and TP — My reward: no one will ever know how much the market gonna give, so we have two options -Let Ichimoku decides when to exit by moving our SL with spanB all the time. Or the other option which is the hard one , -we will need to back ...

Top man Leo. Thanks very much for that. I agree that this strategy is a great way of getting a regular, positive trading return - I just need to keep disciplined in order to achieve the trading success that you refer to as possible. Im trading GJ, ...

Newbie question I'm afraid Leo - What's a "fractal pivot" range, in the context of an Asian hi/lo range being encompassed by one? I don't use metatrader, so I cannot use the 'FRACTAL MT4 indicator' as you suggested in the above post. Thanks in ...

Hi kos mate. i'm confused again. i understand the end of the asian session would be 8:59 london time which would mean that the 08:00 (london) hourly candle (meaning the 7:00 GMT hourly candle) would be in the range/box. So a buy wouldn't be ...

I've got it now (I think)... — Well it looks like the Asian Session is 23:00 GMT to 8:00 GMT. Which means that, as a london based trader (and using london times), my range includes the 00:00 candle and the 8:00 candle (which finishes at ...

It's all about OCO — jpax i always set the buy order and sell order as oco (one cancels other), so only one order (buy or sell) is triggered. hope this helps.

Confused...on a couple of fronts! — I have a few things that I need clearing up: 1) I am based in London. Am I placing the orders based on the hi/lo range that ends at 8:00 London time (currently GMT + 1) or 9:00 London time (currently GMT ...

the effect of spreads — Maybe Im just being greedy, but can anyone tell me if I'm being too conservative with the placing of my entry and SL? I'm really talking about spreads of course, because for the long order, having 1. a (Long) entry ...

I agree Paulus is great. I think I will, like you Kos, adopt the 161.8 TP and 50% SL as that will reduce the pips at risk and hence improve risk/reward to much closer to 1.0 (after covering bid/offer spread and the 10pip adjustment for false ...

Newbie Saying thanks! — Hi just to say that I have been reading this thread with interest over the last two weeks or so, and last week started to trade based on applying (what I think is) this strategy. My results are mixed but that's because: ...
