cTrader??cAlgo??

Just about every broker requests either this or a drivers license, so yeah it's pretty standard. If you are using regulated brokers it shouldn't be a problem.

Excel Markets have NY servers as you can see from here, url So that would explain the very good 150ms pending order times. IC should be about the same as they also have NY servers, but if you are comparing a demo to a live account that may explain ...

The results are shown on the chart in orange lettering, they shouldn't disappear at all unless you close the chart or remove the EA from the chart.

Under 150ms is good! not bad. The higher the number the slower the brokers executions, just remember it also takes into account how far away your PC/VPS is from the brokers servers.

I'm also not aware of mt4 needing any warm up period, that wouldn't make any sense. As far as I am aware, the two numbers at the bottom right of the platform are the data that has been downloaded from the broker/uploaded to the broker, not speed. ...

You can always use the mt4 alerts feature, just set it to a price a bit before your target. Right click on the chart, trading, alerts

Ok that makes sense then. I (and I think most others) find the PRO accounts better. They are certainly pretty rock solid in terms of lack of disconnections or feed issues.

Weird, I just checked my accounts were ok after getting an email notification of your post, and I don't have any disconnections or any chart gaps on any of my PRO accounts, either from my home PC or NY VPS. Is yours a standard account i assume?

I am also experiencing this intermittently. I find it mildly annoying but not so much that I have tried anything to stop it happening. Try a reinstall i guess

No, they have NY servers, IC Markets do as well
- muzza replied Jun 22, 2013
They can see your mt4 account name, account number, all account history obviously, the broker of course, your account leverage and balance/equity, the currency, whether the account is real or demo, and the brokers server. I don't think there is any ...

Did you read the GO Markets thread?
- muzza replied Jun 17, 2013
Ok here's the top Aussie brokers in my opinion. Axitrader (my main broker) and IC Markets, Pepperstone and Thinkforex all seem decent.
- muzza replied Jun 17, 2013
I would agree with GO markets no longer being in the best group of brokers, for a number of reasons (just check their thread here!). Synergy as well, their spreads are no good for either account. Thinkforex seem ok so far now they are ASIC regulated ...

1. Axitrader, IC Markets, Pepperstone, Global Prime. In that order IMO 2. Decent, prone to technical problems though
- muzza replied Jun 17, 2013
Ha thats a good one. Take a look at their thread here on FF and you'll find ALOT of people who will disagree. They used to be good a few years back, but they went to crap awhile ago now. There are a number of much better options in Australian forex ...

It is correct that some brokers won't connect with build 451 anymore. Build 482 is still fine though. It's just a bit of a hassle keeping it on build 482!
- muzza replied Jun 12, 2013
Read this thread to discover some ways to downgrade your platform to build 451 or build 482, and how to keep it there. Note that not all brokers allow build 451 to still connect to their servers.
