Next version, using Steve Hopwood's template. It appears to move buystops now, but still rife with order errors.

Hm, this is an excellent question. As for all the negative reactions, wouldn't we all love to hear why a particular TA system works? Sounds reasonable. My answer to "Why my system works": Markets are random over time, based on information that we ...

Attached is a more aggressive version. There is also an extra input to specify order expiration. It's still suffering from mysterious MT4 order bugs, sending multiple orders when clearly the code does not, as if it's looping on its own. I may take a ...

It moves the order when the conditions become true again. I can change it to move whenever the donchian value changes, but I think it would run away from itself. Each time price moves, the pending order would move further away, never quite getting ...

OK, I think I figured out what you meant. Attached EA will move the pending orders. There may still be an issue of orders being left open, and thus not taking trades when the market changes directions. I'm working on that

You're welcome. I was also curious about the strategy, as I've been trading ForexHard's stairstep breakouts. Donchian channel breakouts sound like an avenue to automate that. I was trying to speed it up by reducing the number of bars it calculates, ...

Or you could just test the volume, if your trading logic is contained in a function: void LookForTradingOpportunities() { if(Volume[0]>1) return; //run only after close if ( (HCCILevel > CCIHighTrigger) && (HCCILevel > Prev_HCCILevel) && (LCCILevel ...

aicccia, Sounds like Sophos is doing marketing research in order to sell a service to traders, as opposed to using retail traders to predict trends.

CTL Indicator — I wrote a version for CTL (Dealbook360 and Prostation). The histogram is showing 1 Hour ema cross overs, red/green bars are signals. image url

50% win rate of 2 or more systems does not increase the odds. Consider flipping a coin, the chance is 50% that it will turn up heads. If you flip two coins, the chance is always 50% for each. A loss will cancel out a win... You cannot increase your ...

A good reason to care is that you may expend quite a bit of energy and time studying BS. Phony threads are a dime a dozen here. That being said, tell us more Sophos. Everybody deserves a fair shake.

Suspicious that Sophist got a voucher just as he created his FF account. Pun intended.

This is a valid scalping method. I have a version for Dealbook/Prostation at the ctlforum based on RSI. The only trouble is the small profit and lack of signals. 1 or 2 signals per week if you're guarding your PC, and 5 to 20 pip gains. Looks like ...

You should add the stoch, and rename the system "Golden Showers System".

This thread is pretty funny. Reminds me of the scene from Napolean Dynamite where they buy a time machine from a catalog. Did you notice that the signals are actually pretty close to a plain old stochastic crossover? I wonder if anybody is selling a ...

I think the TMA is just a filter for visual confirmation, 5MA is the only signal. I was just testing this is in the trade simulator and took a couple of hits because price near the tma green line only looks good in the past. Here's a real time trade ...
