Yes, I'd like an answer to that question as well. I'm still looking for something that works myself. Hopefully, we can work together to prove this system works as is or improve upon it.

Please excuse my efforts to turn this in to a complete mechanical system but I can't help it.... Can you give us a hard fast rule based on the moving averages in the higher time frame? An example would be: "If you are trading the 5m chart and price ...

Yes, it appears these are the default settings (9, 26, 52). I'm not trading this method at all. I'm just backtesting. I'm working on developing an EA, but until it can trade exactly as the rules state (which I still need some clarification on) and ...

Basically we have the same trades with a few exceptions... My charts are just black instead of white like yours. And your black line is green on mine. Everything else should be the same. The arrows and dotted lines show my entry and exit points for ...

july testing — Fed, Will you please verify the attached test results match your actual trades for this month (July 2009) so far? One thing I'd like to ask specifically is about your 60 pip rule. If the range is over 60 pips, your max s/l ...

I've made some updates to include price labels like you've asked for. I've also included a new param to place a hard stop loss line like someone else asked for. Leave stop_loss_x_pips_within_box = 0 if you don't care to use this feature, otherwise ...

Not a problem... I did notice your test results had a 50% and 60% modeling quality. You will want to get that cleaned up and up to 90% for the results to be clean.

Fed, I've attached every trade I would have made in 2008 using my interpretation of your rules. I know it's a ton of data, but if you have a chance do you mind looking over it or spot checking the losers to make sure I am truly following your rules ...

For that same June 2, 2008 week I have posted a graphic below of how I understand the rules. My understanding leaves me with a gain of 134 pips total for that week. Can you please tell me where I'm going wrong? Thanks, Jason

Backtesting — There are a few different variations of this system... using 3-5 gmt or 5-7 gmt, using 1 tp or 2 tp... All of those seem to work ok for 2009, but I don't see any combination that worked well for 2008. Has anyone found a ...

I tried the multiplatform, and it is a good option for those not using an EA. Since I want to use an EA with these types of systems, I have two accounts with IBFX and run two normal metatrader platforms at once.

I guess I don't know how you set your initial s/l. I assumed it was at the opposite end of the box. Is that not the case? It could be also that I let buy trades trigger even after sell trades have triggered. Do you cancel your pending orders in the ...
