Happy New Year!

My understanding is you could do either, or both. Personally I like to watch the price action in those situations. How strong is the momentum of the CD leg? Is it completing at an area of structure or just out in nowhere? I think waiting for the ...

Merry Christmas everyone!

I'm in. Just entered short @113.3890. Price was between the .886 and .786 of the AB leg, risk reward very attractive. Do you find that ten pips above A is generally an adequate stop loss on the H4? I have been using larger stops.

That was a beautiful trade, parviz! Well called. I've been watching EUR/USD H4 (as well as several other H4 pairs) lately too. The harmonics have been amazing.

I have a question. . . why are the four hour candles not synchronized with the New York close at 5pm Eastern? I am using ForexTrader Pro. Is there a way to change this? Or, do any of your other platforms offer the option of adjusting the time of the ...

I am in that same trade. It will be interesting to see what happens over the weekend.

Greetings. Here is a lovely 4hr USD/CAD bat. Any thoughts on this? I have no intentions of shorting it at present, since the momentum and projection on that CD leg is pretty strong. However, I will definitely be keeping an eye out for signs of price ...

My short term bias on AUD/USD is short. More detailed thoughts are on the chart. I haven't entered yet but may if a suitable opportunity (confirmation bar that still leaves room for a decent R/R) presents itself. Critiques welcome. image

Welcome back! Glad to hear you are on the mend.

Hey, have you thought about switching to a higher time frame? The way you've posted about your trading habits reminds me of what I was trying to do originally-- jump in and out of trades during the day when I could snatch some time for the charts ...

Personally I'd be biased towards shorts, if a suitable entry presented itself. Altogether the swings down have more momentum than the upswings on that chart.

This was very helpful, thank you! I have my defaults set up now. I also deleted the history folder from Quote Storage. It took a bit of clicking around for me to find it, lol. But after I reopened Trading Station I experimented with zooming very ...

Hello, I am having some problems with Marketscope. I can't figure out how to set a default stop and limit for new orders. When I log in and pull up the trade station window, I see that "Charts" is one of the options at the top, and there is a drop ...

I've been practicing Mr. Pip's method on the four hour charts for about three weeks now. Before that I was using the one hour. The harmonics are all over the place and the other things he teaches-- orderflow, structure analysis, supply and demand-- ...

Hey Harmonic (and vatordude), Actually I'm only trading microlots for the present. I want to give this some time to build skill and confidence before I consider risking more. At the same time I'm a little bit attached to my micro account and want it ...

Yeah, it is painful to see, lol! I moved my stop to just below the .786 of the swing because with that entry price I couldn't stomach a wider one, but it's true I'd still be in the trade and okay despite the less than ideal entry if I'd had a wider ...

One more chart! This is my somewhat embarrassing postmortem of an ill fated EUR/JPY long. In the chart are the reasons I should not have taken this trade, or maybe taken it but in the opposite direction. image

I am also short USD/CAD. My original stop was quite roomy which I regretted when it moved far against me as you can see in the chart, but in this case I guess that was good because it came back around again. Up about 70 pips, locked in 20. image
