It was a good trade. The reason it failed was because of a news event: the bundestag voting in favor of a leveraged efsf. The euro jumped, and everything else with it.

In addition to the factors I already mentioned was that the first bar which crossed the 35/50 was a pin, so I knew there were buyers there. Also, I set my stop just below the 5m bar I entered on, for a small 7 pip stop.

It's a little difficult to say whether this was a touch trade. A touch trade (in my understanding) is cleaner. Your example seems more like a touch within a constrainment. In any case you made money. Good work!

In the usd/chf trade, you were trading against a 4h 35 first touch. I don't know about usd/cad, but I suspect this isn't a good time of day for it, as cad isn't heavily traded.
