Unsure why you are limiting your upside with a TP target like that, we should be letting the profit run until the trend ends, if your analysis is sound the pair should make a new high at least.. just food for thought... trend trading should mean ...

My list of instruments is performing well, up something like 800 pips on positions entered on Monday. News helps but as I have seen this week if you are on the right side of the trend the news in your favor tends to have an exaggerated reaction ...

Thanks fartist, at this stage I am just trading the cfd's that Oanda offer... i understand the way to do it I was just hoping there were some sort of calculator to do it, be good if the broker could offer one they have all the info!

Hey fartist, was just wondering with the range of markets you look at if you had come up with a good way to establish your position size? I can't find a tool to do it so am manually calculating them... would be good to have an easier way though!

Have you ever done any analysis on you success rates of Monthly/Weekly/Daily vs Weekly/Daily/4hr vs Daily/4 hour/1 hour ? You wouldnt want the daily/4/1 trades to dilute the profit from the Monthly/Weekly/Daily trades you have waited so patiently ...

Thanks fartist, I understand how you can look at that many products, when you start on monthly then go to weekly basically looking at an EMA and price only its pretty quick to skim through them, and really only needs to be done weekly until a market ...

That trade wasn't counter trend - not according to what fartist has written as his method, check the monthly/weekly trends at the time that was taken, the trend was up so Fartist was looking for a pullback entry - and that was a good spot to look. ...
