I would like to suggest a few modifications to become "Trend Trader" EA instead Margin Trade
1. lot size = lot size manual entry
2. number of trades to enter after first one
3. "XYZ" pip distance to enter new winning trade if "add auto" is checked
4. manage more than one symbol trade
5. reset EA in case trade is going against you, an option to keep existing trades but it can pick up new trades from the reset point (lower price).
example above: enter Buy EURJPY at 119.718 plan is to close at 121.011
on that journey plan is to enter 5 trades with 15 pips difference so next buy should be at 119.868, 120.018....120.468 if price get there

price went below first trade to 119.460 and plan is to add more from this point.
this is time for reset EA to keep existing trade and enter new at current price counting trades already open

rest on EA's trading logic is brilliant in it's simplicity and there is no need to modifications just pip instead margin

thx

So, I just traded the US news. The EA worked well but when I tried to close my open positions with the EA button....the current open positions were closed but as more equity freed up, the EA started opening new positions.
Anybody experienced the same?
Thanks.

Yeah. New trades faster than you can close 'em.
Try uncheck "add automatically"

yes this is correct, that is the reason why I call modifications "Trend Trader"

Margin Trader = 1 EA per account
Trend Trader = xy EA per account

I would like to have both, would you?

hi everybody upgraded my play account with earned crypto to 300 € let's see how i finish this week, i will try to be more selective in my entries, so no more 30% targets per day - just wait for a real opportunity still working on post#1 update, i hope i'll have the 'documentary' side ready in few hours, found some old pics that are poor quality but still readable, they explain almost everything in a nutshell, {image} code updates will take a longer time, there are fixes and updates (thanks to Mic_FX ) i 've got to...
You can trade any market and any timeframe with MarginTrader - but if you're an intraday/short timeframe trader, you want to trade markets giving the best volatility/cost ratio:
Inserted Code
Index = Average Daily Range / ( Spread + Commission [in points] )
The greater the result, the better. EUR/USD is usually an obvious choice, followed by JPY pairs. With some brokers, XAU/USD and the German DAX index are excellent.
You can use this indy to analyze your broker's offering - look for symbols with highest index:

HI MareJane,

Can you kindly give an example of converting Commission to Points?

Example, My ECN broker, Fusion Markets, is charging $4.50 commission for standard contract round turn. How do I convert it into points?

I am an indices trader and how can I compare whether this broker is offering good spreads for DAX or HK50 or US30 based on your bargain test.

The new Australian regulated broker, Fusion Markets, started by ex-CEO of Pepperstone is also offering cryptos CFD. May I request you to share briefly some of your experience of trading cryptos. Which aspects of Technical Analysis works for it?Does it follow Support and Resistance setup well?

Thank you

Thank you.

Mrdfx,

Was the entry criteria that the price should poke above the TMA and then close below the upper band and profit taking at the mid-band? Did you have a S/L?

Thanks

aaven, on this trade I noticed a strong move up breaking the upper zone of the TMA, so I waited for price to correct itself and after seeing an M formation it validated a sell entry for me. I took profit at the mid line of the TMA as the overall bias was still bullish and didn't want to get caught in the continuation up which it did just after I closed out.

With Margin Trader I am not setting any SL.
