LOL, I'm opposite, entered sells at 1.0855 level. For a long while now the US hasn't been a manufacturing powerhouse, so the related PMI isn't as an important part of the economy as it was even 20 years ago. The US is primarily a service economy, importing most manufactured goods (much to my lament).

I am happy to wait a week or two to see the longer term direction of the pair if need be.

All good Bud. Let's see where this takes us. Nothing is certain in forex.

Cheers.

I'm tempted to sell at the new resistance level. There's no buy signal yet from RSI.

Bottom's in + look at the weekly chart !

Was totally asleep when this happened lol, didn't want to risk buy earlier. I will be buying Monday on any small retrace down.

If this up move is real, I don't even expect a touch to 1.0820 anymore. Those selling there have to be used as sacrificial lambs. They must pay the bill for the bulls and not allowed to escape for a long time.

This could still just fall right back into the range if it doesn't make a base.

lol you lost?

thin air can move the market and we can not predict in which direction. it usually against the crowd. weird.

HonkyCat Feb 21, 2020 11:26am | Post# 102555

Not lost, just don't trade solely on technicals or waves, and don't have time to monitor quick scalps most of the time. So I trade trends mostly.

I don't "believe" in a given momentary direction for any currency pair…if it requires faith it's not a valid trading strategy. They're two complex economies battling for relative value in a giant marketplace. Even central banks are limited in their ability to manipulate a currency pair for terribly long (c.f., CHF a few years back, and the NZD bankers about the same time frame talking down their own currency).

Actually for this one it is pretty certain to me.. Based on H4 and H1 I keep buying new dips to my upcoming Dashed-RED TL.. For now I have 1.0823 as potential retest area but that will probably shift higher.... Happy trading to all

This is a daily chart with pivots. I just shorted this pair due to price starting to fall.

It doesn't help to say "price is falling so I'm shorting".

Don't be surprised if bears move this thing down to 1.073 area next week

I shorted eur-usd because of a purple arrow on 30 minute chart. Purple arrows are created when price tops and then starts to fall.
