about time for the Chinese ministry to say, "trades talks are at a impasse. "Any deal struck will be bad for the u.s. China has the political advantage. DT will sign anything atm.. Congress is the one who ok's any deal. I wouldn't count my chickens just yet. But beer is good and cold.

COT report for the week ended on Oct 8:

Even with not impressive US NFP data, Institutions increased their bearish bets on EurUsd this week. The closing price on the reported day was 1.0956

Euro shorts increased by 9,435 contracts. Net short positions now at 75,413

9,481 long contracts were closed, only 41 short contracts were closed while price hit 1.0904 low on 10/2 and 1.0999 high on 10/3.
Now Longs total 162,777 contracts vs shorts total 238,191 contracts

41% long exposure vs 59% short exposure, which 1% decreased in longs and 1% increased in shorts from the previous week

the week and day closed higher, so eu may not go down immediately. Or it may go down, with a second bounce to load up on. I usually say it will check the highs again. The cot leads me to think, a spike could be lower than the Friday high. Just speculating.
