{quote} On the second trade, i was setting the limit order but i pressed market instead and ended up in. Silly me, didn't immediately close, waited 4 seconds for a lucky spike but then came to my senses and closed at -2t. Lucky. 2nd trade was a loss, but during that trade i had to concentrate on staying sensible after the prior fumble. Did a little relaxation breathing. If i didn't do that, i wouldn't have entered the third trade. {image} Total Targets +83t Total Stops -20t Manual Error -2t Net +61t * $5 = $305 $3.86 * 6 = -$23.16 Net +$281.84 For...

I have been testing YM CFD for sometime and feels that I can read it better than NQ. But the crazy spread at times doesn't help. Looking forward to trade the YM futures in short time after testing well enough. Thank you for taking time and sharing your trades and results, can't appreciate enough!

Exactly. I am retired and trade a couple of hours over a few days to make additional cash. I am not trying to pay mortgages or food bills or house running costs.
But I use a one minute chart which is why I will not post here regularly to avoid confusion or contagion of H posts.

Well if your gonna say all that i might as well tell ya these things. This is not everything but they are some things to consider..

I noticed from 9:30a to 10:00a, its a little less predictable. May get stops hit more often. This is just a feeling, i could be wrong, that needs some review.
Sometimes price gets caught in a range so i lower the targets to the top or bottom of that range. I'll sometimes wait to see what price does when it gets there before i take the TP. Other times i'll just take it at the edge of these ranges.
Some days, price just runs away in one direction. I feel like this happens more after 10a or so. Because of this i will let my trades go to the full tp even if price is still in a range sometimes.
I put up lines for places where i think price will reverse if revisited from the overnight session and the days prior. I try to keep this to a minimum.
I'm an advocate of BRNs (big round numbers 100, 200, 300, etc..). Not only do i look at price in relation to the 100 BRNs on the YM, i also look at it in relation to the BRNs on the DJI.

Edit: cleared up

Honestly, my whole goal is to try to get in at places where a small stop is less likely to get hit before going to the target. Not even a directional thing.
If i was trading with a direction in mind, i'd probably trade more like Hilmy, with much larger stops and a focus on the overall movement.

Hah! - I'll throw them a red herring

Seriously - I won't post Ichi charts on here again to avoid annoyance to regular posters.

Had some time to trade after doing my taxes today, ended up 23.5 points two longs were winners one short took a three point loss, basically using lower highs for shorts and higher lows for longs with my target being the last swing high
