Hi SW, nice thread..thanks..just one doubt

When you say Daily Candle, does it mean the candle of present day? If yes. Does it not mean that, for Buy, price should be above Day Open; for Sell price should be below Day Open. Seems a silly doubt, but the charts you shared are showing different daily candles, so this query

The daily candle indi measures the current price to the daily open price. Simply put, if its green - only look for long setups, red - only short setups. All the charts that were posted follow this rule imo.
Best, Josh

swilliam Feb 7, 2016 12:07am | Post# 14

correct

daily candle is green when PA is above daily open price

daily candle is red when PA is below daily open price

Welcome aboard guys! Test system first

tamiflu Feb 7, 2016 4:17am | Post# 17

Hello guys,
Nice results indeed. It seems similar to the MAX system, too.
As i observed the majority of trades were closed manually and not at TP.
So the initial RR was not confirmed. Is this a must or it was your choice because of somekind of exit rules?
Keep going.

swilliam Feb 7, 2016 6:11am | Post# 18

Exit i think would depend on trader.

But Entry rules are well explained

sam68 Feb 7, 2016 12:51pm | Post# 21

Simple ; easy to follow . yet we need to perfect the exit strategy ; there is one EA By Vladimir ribakov that closes 80% of your position after your defined to and let the 20% ride till ma cross back ... I think it might be a good idea to attack to this system so u let the winners ride...what do u think guys?

This, in my opinion, is one of the factors that makes this "style" of trading legit. You don't try and write a holy grail for it. (no such thing anyway, no matter how they try). To succeed there has to be the Human factor. The true EA is you. Work on you. The trend lines you decide, over time, will give you the understanding you choose. Take something that is leading in the correct way and you can grow it into a positive. Ok, shutting up for now. I know it must sound like riddles, but I could talk for days trying to explain what I am saying. I just want you to know because something doesn't have set "guide lines" for all decisions doesn't make it less. It actually makes it more, much more when it comes to trading.

BhamAL Feb 7, 2016 3:43pm | Post# 24

One thing to look into is if you trade it on the 15min chart. When you are in profit find entries to add on the 5min chart. Just because you enter on a lower time frame chart doesn't mean you have to accept small pip profit.

swilliam Feb 7, 2016 6:51pm | Post# 25

Drawing the trendline. Is the one that requires trader to do. I think one should be able to determine what trendline works for him.
I haven't seen any indicator of EA draw the trendlines correctly in most instances.

But if you have a tool that creates it then good for you.

Thanks for posting trend lines. But I think the core of this system is ma crossover towards daily candle direction plus confirmation of two escalators below. Trend lines are secondary IMHO. Please correct me if I am wrong. Best regards.

I think drawing trendline in Line chart is better. As we are going to enter trade only after the candle 'closes' above the trendline, I think its better to use closing prices. It also reduces the noise of highs/lows. Try this approach, it might help.

Question: need to close the price between the 2 MA or enougt to touch the "zone"?
Like cesar8 picture, the 1st and the 2nd not close between the 2 MA, but the 3rd close inside the "zon" and than break the trendline.
So, what are you thinking guys? What is the correct method? 1st? 2nd? or both?

cesar8 Feb 8, 2016 7:33am | Post# 34

In my opinion the trading should not be something mechanical, indicators are a guide to where is the price, and the price is always decides, and when the price goes through one a line, it is a good indication that he wants to go in that direction . cease

i think those are good trendline break setups. I would also draw the same.
3 quick short trades, around 1:1 each
