{quote} Good luck with that.

Ha.. Cheeky too.

msniper Aug 13, 2019 8:46pm | Post# 81142

even with this jump I am still bearish in usdjpy

it might make small high higher than yesterday high but it will go back and drop again

I see a new low to 104.70 easily

for long term view I see it going below 100 but will take many weeks

{quote} I'll just have to rely on you/or the website summaries! Can you link to something/or explain how you are using the info? Maybe I'm being daft but the info I find doesn't mention puts or calls, just strike prices and size. Are all these options listed out of the money (either puts or calls) https://www.forexflow.live/wp-conten...13-08-2019.jpg What happened today - were calls @ 105 exercised? Or were puts @ 105 being kept out the money, hence the floor? Apologies for these ridiculous questions...
Awesome questions!

The market needs to correct himself after a big bullish or bearish move. I think at this moment we are making an HL.

this could spill over to the currency market but I'm not certain that it will be bad today for USD/JPY

https://www.cnn.com/2019/08/14/inves...day/index.html

Here's what happened: The 10-year Treasury bond yield fell to 1.627% Wednesday morning, below the 1.632% yield of the 2-year Treasury bond. It marked the first time since 2007 that 10-year bond yields fell below 2-year yields.

US stock futures fell as investors sold stock in companies and moved it into bonds. The Dow (INDU) was set to open about 1% lower. The broader S&P 500 (SPX)...

i can imagine EUR/USD and EUR/JPY crashing

Investors are on edge because the German economy shrank for the second-straight quarter, and the US-China trade war still looms large over markets, despite the latest truce.

If you think eur/usd and eur/jpy will crash, don't you think there would be an impact on usd/jpy?

not in the short term

ok I see, sounds reasonable

because the US data is still strong compared to the EU or China and elsewhere

German GDP data shows signs of a recession but the US data has been strong, which should support USD

the only reason that I can think of that will crash USD/JPY is if trade negotiations break down completely and the stock market implodes, but Trump doesn't want that if he wants to win a second term in 2020
