VSA/Weis-Wave Trading With Krazy

This thread will be a place where I will be posting up trades I'm looking to take, have taken, and trades that I would have taken if I saw them. For the most part all my trades are taken based off of the Weis-Wave indicator and also pairing that with Volume Spread Analysis. Charts to follow.

Hi xpinbar

Is this the method you use for your trading?
If so I would be very interested in learning from you.

Kind regards

Graham

Do you use an indicator that finds the divergence or you just visualy look for it?

I bought an OBV divergence indicator but to be honest not brilliant. Best to do it manually.
I use extended OBV divergence lines, (extended on OBV) they show OBV support and resistance. See
https://www.mql5.com/en/articles/3686
There is a link there to my work in progress notes (very much work in progress).
Instead of time charts i use tick charts and apply OBV to that, i find shows OBV divergence better. There is a link in my comments (in the mql5 link) to a YouTube video explaining how to set up the free FXBlue tick chart generator which is great but it only collects ticks while computer is on so i had to get up at 4am to collect enough ticks to trade in the day (if you leave it on to long it can crash so you have to delete the stored tick files occasionally!). I bought tick chart collector as per attached which has much promise.
I use following tick settings based on Fibonacci numbers plus 70 which comes from Bob Volmans method. 70, 233, 377, 610, 987 (limit history to 250 hours and the 70 chart to 160 hrs) otherwise it will crash. It works by taking tick history from external source then going forward uses your MT4 input, brilliant idea.
I still use the FXBlue time generator for 10 second bars when scalping to identify testing and subsequent accumulation for a long etc.

My background is Wyckoff, you need to understand trading ranges and how to do trend lines (and reverse trend lines), Bruce Fraser is the best for this at https://stockcharts.com/articles/wyckoff/archives.html, start from the first blog back in April 15.
He also does you tube https://www.youtube.com/playlist?lis...Wcq7Jj2RyDctZC
Hope this helps
edit - dont get hung up on divergence, most powerful signals are when you have divergence trend lines above and below price then when "one side wins" and trend lines are broken and price is in convergence with OBV.
